Awesome! Well done mate! :D

I've tried sending a tweet to Roadshow Films too to see if they bite. I also doubt that if it is delayed it will affect the game, Avalanche and co are pretty insistent the game has nothing to do or tied with Fury Road and it's own thing comparing themselves to the Batman Arkham games.....though WBi might have other plans.

I have close and old friend in Melbourne, his girlfriend work for Village Roadshow. I ask him to ask her if it's possible to have an information about that...

Would they ever release a video game --based on/related to-- a movie without actually releasing the movie?

Has this ever happened with other video games with movie tie-ins?
I'm thinking not.

Yes and it's happened on numerous occasions. Remember this isn't meant to be FURY ROAD: The Game or a quick cash tie-in, but more akin to like when Rocksteady developed Batman Arkham Asylum/City using a well known IP and crafting an original title.

I see, maybe they're slowly building Mad Max back into the public's eyes? after all its been almost 30 years since his last movie. I do remember a few people making posts that kids nowadays have never even heard of Mad Max. So, they release the Blu-Ray this year, a Mad Max video game next year, with the hope of creating enough buzz to make Mad Max relevant again and everybody (not just us hardcore fans) highly anticipate the upcoming movie.

I don't know, I'm just trying to make sense out of all this, which is probably am impossible task in itself.

Good news, I get a reply from Village Roadshow. First my e-mail:

"Hello Florence,

I'm a french fan of Mad Max. I don't want to disturb you, but I'd like to know if there isn't an error in this excerpt from The Wall Street Journal article about Village Roadshow promoting Kevin P. Berg.

The filming for Mad Max: Fury Road occured in the second half of 2012. Its release date was expected by fans and moviegoers in 2014... not 2015, as written in the article. This seems unbelievable, but: is this a typo? 2013-2015 is a huge period, a post-production work never seen before in the history of cinema, to say the least. Can You enlighten me, please?

"VRP's upcoming slate includes "The Lego Movie" starring Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett opening February 7, 2014; "All You Need Is Kill" starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton opening June 6, 2014; and "Mad Max: Fury Road" starring Nicholas Hoult, Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron set to open in 2015."

Thanks a lot!"

And the reply:

"I'm sorry, this is a mistake. The film has not yet been dated.
Best,
Florence

Thank Christ.

For causing such a stir I think Florence should be forced to watch Happy Feet 2 every day until MM4 finally gets released!
