That's all you guys have to say? What brand of knife?

Good god! He looks great! Love the scarf, you can see the one shoulder pad...and he looks tough. I love it. I'm even more sold than I was! Considering this is a shot of a print, I also like the hard sunlight in the official photog.---

I'm convinced this is legit pic of Hardy as Max. I don't see how it could be photoshopped. There's an off-road motorcycle tire behind him, and that definitely looks like the featureless Namib desert in the backround. The pose, the washed out look.....everything about it looks like an official still, yet I'm unconvinced that this is how the studio wanted the world to get their first glimpse of Hardy as Max. I mean, a Twitter post? Really? Anyway, now that the cat is out of the bag, perhaps we'll see something from the studio directly.

Oh, and I think he looks great. I bit relieved here.

The costume is badass! They managed to modernize it and still keep the old stuff there. Great work!
I was afraid they would make him into some kind of spec ops gore-tex operator, and they kinda did, but that's the good old Thunderdome jacket under the holster! Awesome!
It'll be interesting to see how thunderdome jacket fits in story along with interceptor...

And I love the fact that image leaked just day before the "real world" pockalypse! A bit guerilla marketing, eh? ;)

It's a re-boot...there are no plot points about jackets.

If it's a reboot, there's zero interest for the filmmakers to remade the jacket exactly as it was in Thunderdome. Those cuts and scars on the leather are the result of events that occured in Mad Max 1, Mad Max 2 and other events we didn't see between 2 and 3 (like that one on the left arm).

Indiewire confirmed it's an image from the movie itself.
Warner Bros. has confirmed that this indeed is an image taken from Geroge Miller's upcoming film, which officially wrapped on Monday, running slighty over the planned July-November shoot schedule. The signed pic, below, was something Hardy gave to the crew on the last day on the filming.

Phew. lol I sent the photo over to Harry to Ain't it Cool this morning and he posted on the site and of course all the talkbacks are claiming it's fake.

Yeah I know I asked what brand of knife it was to reiterate....Yes Hardy look fooking awesome as Max!

It's possible they are using the exact same jacket from 30 years ago. Unless there's someone "in the know" who can clarify what happened to it after Thunderdome.

Wouldn't they have to size it up to Hardy though? I'd side with a reproduction, after all they did get a hold of the original boots to look at for reproduction in FR.

Nice to see the finished product. I know from a very reliable source close to me and who was involved with the film, that the full original costume was supplied to the production for reference purposes (pics of the genuine boots have already surfaced). I was told that tom got to try on the original jacket and it fit him quiet well. It isn't the original jacket in Fury Road just a reproduction. I can see that certain parts on the new jacket have been reproduced, a very nice touch. My source also got to see the original jacket up close and he said it is in quiet good condition for its age, but wouldn't hold up to filming. The full costume was then returned to its current owner who has it safely stored in his collection. Hope this helps to clear up the jacket subject. :D
