I will get to see the road warrior, the man we call Max in action on the Big Screen! To understand who he was, the kids of today will have to go back to another time, when the world did not have CGI, when the cars were not powered by NOS, and didnt sprout every boy racer accessory known to man!

(But the Humungus machine was fitted with NOS and used by the bad cop while chasing Max)

No. It's definitely the Elvis hotrod (thanks for the name :D ) at the top front of the loader. Here are some more pics to back that up.
Same round frame work at the back.
Same cabin with no wheel arches at the back.
And the same exhaust horns at the side of the engines.

And the video.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Dohhhh let myself down with the NOS comment...was trying to refer to the fast & furious generation who know nothing else on the big screen but rice rockets kitted out with all the gadgets and technical wizardry of the modern day.

Apologies for my Northern Irish grammar shining through regards Elvis on the back of the trailer...you are quite right its on the front. Over here in Belfast we generalise everything when we speak and dont worry about the small details like front middle or rear :)
Pray hes out there!!

No worries mate :D
It's for me still difficult sometimes to understand the weird slang's and mixed up words that are sometimes used in English.
And that because I'm Dutch. But I think you already noticed that ;)
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

well technically what you said is right... it is on the back of the loader...( as in "im laying on my back") .. or... its on the back of the loader, up the front..... there is no real "correct" way of saying it
We are 100% snafu....

And that's what makes it a bit difficult for other languages like Dutch. Your word "back" can be read with two meanings by a foreigner in this case. On your "back", or, at the "back". In the Dutch language the words used to describe it to be "at the back" or "on the back" are completely different. So, in some cases it is by judging the context of the sentence what the real meaning would be.
I hope I don't get to technical with you guys :ugeek:

Even here in the UK there are different regional variations (slang) of the words we use on a daily basis. I found out recently there are two meanings to the word starving...to me and probably every other English speaker in the world it means hungry . However if I was to travel 80 miles up the road to Portrush it means your cold to the people from up that neck of the woods. :?

However back to things in the Fury Road Universe....if the loader is part of the storyline can we assume the cars are collected after battle and either repaired or canabalised to create a new vehicle as resources are scarce? George Millar did say in the Fury Road press gathering in 2009 that the cars were cobbled together from whatever people could get their hands on.
Pray hes out there!!

Makes perfectly good sense , like the scavengers that swarm over a post fight battlefield
I think thats Hugh Keays-Byrne in that photo 'last day of shoot'...???
Could well be or it could be the cameo appearance of Mel  and why is the dude from Promethius looking on concerned ?

Almost looks more blonde than grey, like the back of one of the girls heads?

Shooting in Nambia finishes today. Then a smaller crew head to cape town.

that turn around on the right of pic was this end of a 4km stretch of road George Miller had carved out of the plain at Mundi Mundi to film Fury road on, but then they pissed off to africa .... we were sworn to secrecy, but i s'pose it doesn't matter now.

the truck crash site from MM2 is on that range of hills, over to the right of pic .... the road from it runs along this side of the hills on the plain, all the way across the pic
