i guess i should have said it would always be in the works it's just finding the time in this crazy world of ours to get things done. well that and refs of the stock aussitrailian cars used in said movie...as in real refs from the sides and front and all. but i will be making do with as much of it as i can so that should anyone ever care to or need a vehicle i've made for future vehicle games they will have my vast resource of models to choose from.

this way if mad max the game gets canceled as is rumored then all will not be lost and..we will be starting from a postion of mad max,mad max 2, and thunderdome not starting with mad max fury road and hoping for dlc of the orginal cars we know and love.

been toying around with the modnation racer demo on ps3 and trying it out on psp. i have to say there is a lot of potential here. they have different types of suspension and the ps3 edition gives a mot more range of car editing options. and this is just off the demo.

oddly the car that looks most like an xa looks most like an xa falcon on the psp editon due to the squaring of the front end. sadly it's not nearly the same on the ps3 game model. still they have a lot of chin spoilers on both models.

point is i've been playing around with the decal system a lot on the ps3 demo version and feel that we can recreate the decals to be very close on the cars we can come close to making. my dream of a mad max kart is close to furition thanks to this game modenation racers. and best of all it has rigs. sadly for now they have no front gaurds for the rigs or the cars so some parts won't be as doable as i had hoped yet i haven't seen all the parts yet as the non-unlockables are shadowed out and not visible. but it doesn't mean they won't eventualy make some and it doesn't also mean that a movie car pack wouldn't be in the world for mnr. you have to think of future dlc and what's one thing a car game always comes back to...movie cars. hell they had some movie car knock offs in burnout paradise. i don't see why they wouldn't eventuly for modnation racers. but nothings confirmed yet.

i'll have a more full report after may 25th when the bigger console game comes out. i only know so much from the psp editon and the demo as it stands.

so far they have most of the parts for a badcop, gay boy bezerker player model and even some parts that could work for mad max himself. there is almost no limit to what you can make with this game and you can bet i'll be making what i can of mad max into this fully modable kart racer. i'll post the the results on here so you can see what i mean with things.

the 3d is slow in coming but i found some files i thought i lost including the desoto work. dude we could easily make the desoto in mod nation racers...bumpers aren't accurate but the body is close from what i've seen of screenshots.

anyways i'm looking at starting on the tarana we had donated and working my way from there in terms of the actual 3d work. again will post the work of what i get done when it's all set.

okay bit of a status update. i've been working on getting my modeling skill back up so i can finish off the mad max models and release them to the public to do with as they please for gta or whatever they want to use them for so long as they have some sort of 3d modeling program.

for now to be honest with you modnation racer was a bust. sure i could do costumes of our favorite characters but outside of that the car side was really lacking and a true dissapointment. which has lead me to start writting a game of my own some of which will deal in mad max the rest of which is a very expanssive project which i will outline sometime later on a new thread when i have something to show.

i found the work i did on the desoto but i need to remake the body as it's not mine plus it's been a nightmare to restructure the body since the car was orginaly a plymoth fury which is simular but not the same. so if i pick one car to do right now the desoto would be it cause i love the hell out of that car.

now if you want a car game that is likely to deliver on the ps3 i'd google MotoStorm:Apocolypse. is is what the name implies...god no sadly no post apocolyptic racer here but what cause my eye was this.

" Massive vehicle customisation. Change vinyls, vehicle parts, vehicle shapes and more. Upload them to the community site and share them with others. They automatically work on all vehicle types, and include your PSN ID.
# Vehicle perks. Modify your handling, boosting and offensive abilities as you unlock new perks."

vehicle shape modification and part changing. sounds like we could take the mad maxish cars that are in the previous games and with enough hard work with the thumb stick we could make ourselves an interceptor. in theory atleast this sounds like it is so. in practice it may be nothing like it. still if i can come close i'd be happier with it then i was with modnation racers. either way i'll rent it and report if you should pay good money and would be able to make your own interceptors or not. we shall see.

so as it stands i have very little done but i've located some models i thought i had lost and have some other i know i have lost. damn data clean up.

hope to have pictures up soon of my progress in all projects.

okay so it's been a while since i updated. you'll have to forgive me for that artisticly my career is slowly launching. i have many projects and sadly modeling isn't high on that list. but that isn't to say the projects dead by any means. i still planning to get works done and posted to someone somewhere who may be able to make heads or tails of my models and make them work in new generations of games. who knows. but mad max is far from finished.

my son got to see road warrior/mad max 2 today after i got off of work. needless to say he loved it greatly so i'll easy him into the trilogy since i know he loves the movie i love so much out of the trilogy.

but i have some news. finaly got some workable kart parts in modnation racer and my sticker work is such that i have created some rather convincing characters from road warrior thus far even making the big man humongus himself with decent results. being a a semi-graphic artist i've learned many tricks through modnation racer and it's helped me enemsly in other areas i hope to post my works on here in the not too distant future.

and well someone has contacted me about my works with mad max mods in gta. it's been so long and gangijica did entrust his work to me and my team from 2005 till we all die. so even though the cars in many ways are parts of donated mods or completely redone by yours trouble i went head and basicly gave my consent on the mods to be used for other more popular games. as to what that all means...as in will it only be gta conversions or will it be some of the newer models that sorta made it into sa but never got skinned and finished? i am talking to certain parties now and seeing what is wanted and what may be needed. i'll keep you posted true believers.

lastly i've managed to pick up probably 14-15 ford falcon xb hotwheels everytime i go to the super market i look at all the rows of hotwheels and when i find one i pick it up. my son owns two and i have 9 the rest are given to people who posting them on ebay. it's exciting to me i have a fleet of 9 ford falcons when this time last year i had no ford falcons to call my own save for the virtual models i had constructed. well i am sure i am boring you all to tears. work continues but it'll be slow in comming.

i'll go digging for you otherwise i may still have most of the mods on a hd somewhere that i can send you. the most complete ones were done in san andreas but we did a few conversions to vice city as well. here's a look at the work on the landau though we did better tires in the end so ignore them they aren't accurate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izPgbyDw ... re=related

other then that like i said i'd have to dig for them cause the old host site for them is gone and as i am sadly finding a lot of people jacked my models without permission and are hosting them as their's which is sad to say the least but by no means a deal breaker i am getting back into modeling and working hard on getting the models up to par but i doubt any further releases will be done for sa at this point.

our mod consited that was released consisted of.
the red xa bat car
the intercetpor from mad max 1 and 2
the mad max mack truck from max 2
and a version of the landau with the window problem fixed.
wez bike form mad max 2
plus some weapons mods like the scoped 44. magnum and for vc we converted the sawed off shotgun.

beyond that we had donated mods like gooses bike as well as toe cutters bike which helped to boost things. other then that most everything else has been collecting virtual dust on my hd. i'll see what i can do for you but most of this went down around 2007 it's been a few years but i'll get you what i can.
