yeah well I'm not there right now, but will be in a few weeks. Knox isn't too far from me. Where to find out about swap meets? Car mags I suppose? Can you recommend a good car mag that I could subscribe to? Thing is, I am mostly o/s these days, so it is a long distance search for me. Many thanks for the tips mate, I feel like I am making good progress already....

Anyone having an opinion on whether this is value or not, please tell me. Cheers...............

I would pass on all that chrome suspension stuff for sure... sounds kinda pricey for a car that seems to need a fair bit of work in my eyes at least. Those shaved door handles will give some dramas when rego time comes around as well if I recall correctly ?

Grab a Just World Cars when back in Oz and also check out carpoint.com.au as well. There are still deals out there if you keep an eye and ear out. A guy I know just picked up a one-owner XB GS coupe for $8500 while I was over there, super mint and original car..

Might check in the trading post as well even (I think the swap meet and cruise nights will usaslly be mentioned in there too)

I understand that the first basicly accurate "Red XA Bat/Wipeout" car will be at Roadwar NW. Totally cool in itself especially if you are thinking about making one. Supposedly it will be there along with a Nightrider Monaro, 3-4 interceptors, A cobra truck, Gyrocopters with the tanker run, Vernon Wells and more.
