I got a 46 which fits fine. It's a little tight in forearms like all biker jackets are. The gloves are XL's and their good too. No photos EVER buddy...

I just got the confirmation on mine. I have my badge already and number pin which is different than Max's. Still undecided what to do for a sleeve insignia though. I also opted not to get the gloves as officers generally have some choice in gloves and they don't all wear the same style.

I supose if I owned a replicar I would go with the Max personea, but for now I'm another officer from another division.

Now if only we could get those Bonds raglan sleeve t-shirts here in the states...

Mark, as usual I'm late in responding to some posts.....

I have yet to look closely at the shoulder pads but with all the pics I sent besides their own research, I'm sure they're spot on. As for pin placement, they got moved around during filming and never in the exact same spot twice so it is one of those things where you'll have to wing it.

The pads look to be right on. As Adam explained it, it was the old photo on the Abbyshot website that was taken directly from the front that gave it the illusion that they were smaller. They look great in person. Thanks for the tips...

I'd rather have the badge tab left off, because you can buy rare-earth magnets that would hold it in place and not poke holes in the leather. Same with the MFP "marksmanship" sleeve badge. The only one I'd consider full-time is the MFP4073...leaving the others off for "off duty" wearing.

Can you elaborate on this a little more please. To use the magnets (I am familiar with rare earth mags) do I need to remove the pin from the badge? Or just attach the magnets to the badge?

Just as an update, I've uploaded some new photos to our Mad Max Jacket product page, eight in total. They show several views of the badges and the shoulder caps. Here's a direct link to the new photo gallery:

As was posted above by scar2783, the main reason the shoulder caps looked small was due to the full frontal view in the original picture. Most movie screen-caps show the coat either side on or at a 3/4 view which would visually enlarge them. I've made sure that there are some 3/4 views in our photo gallery now so that you can compare like to like. Image

Thank you's go out to everyone who has ordered from us so far, and thank you as well to those posting their reviews here. We're shipping out Mad Max orders pretty much daily now. It's been a success since the moment we announced the pre-release, so I expect that more of you will be receiving your jackets soon.

That's a cool idea about the rare earth magnets Bronze 21, let me know if that works out for you. It might be a great solution for others to use as well.

I have to hand the kudos to a fellow in the Australian Ford Falcon Club (The Hankster) for the rare-earth magnet idea. He had keychains made up and they were flat on the back with very little texture. He then bought the magnets that had adhesive on one side to stick to the badge. You put the badge in position on the jacket and placed the other magnet on the inside, so it would stick through the lining and leather. It holds pretty good for not having a mechanical fastner. The diameter of the magnets are about 3/4" and it takes two sets (4 total). One could also superglue/epoxy the magnet to the badge and pin if there's any doubt. Yes, it's a good idea to grind the back of the pin smooth so the magnet will fit better. I'll e-mail someone to post a pic of the version I have.

Different number plate pin? Where did you go to find one? I'd like "MFP460" for my number (460 big block in the XB). Everybody's Max Rockatansky MFP4073...

As far as the shirt...if you're in the States, go to Michael's art supply store. They have tees that are the really pale blue now...it'd be close enough.

I found a vendor on ebay that makes name plates. Although the font isn't quite right it'll work fine for me. $4.75(US) with free shipping.

Here's a link to his ebay store (no affiliation, just a happy customer)

Super fast shipping, 5 days after placing my order I received my jacket and am quite happy with it. Frankly I was expecting a stiffer, less pliable leather so I was almost shocked at how supple this jacket is. It is so easy to move and much more comfortable for driving my car as compared to my motorcycle jacket and that is a nice bonus. I am looking forward to getting enough wear time in so that it shapes to me. It's gonna take a while to get used to the Aussie zipper, but that's half the fun.

I have some rare earth magnets ordered to attach the badge with although I probably won't be taking it off, oust nice to have the option. May as well do the same with the number pin.

Just got my jackets and gloves for Jenny and I. Sweet!!! very happy with them. Jen's jacket was a little tight at the bottom probably due to her hips being wider than mine in relation to the chest size. My 42 fits great ,but I better not get fat. LOL.
