I have a MAKING OF THUNDERDOME that was taped off tv back in about 85' or 86' i was kid when it was on, TINA narates it etc. it only goes for about half hour but is still cool.

I also got the filmclips to WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER HERO - which has a couple shots of DELETED SCENES from THUNDERDOME in it.

Biker - thanks for the clarificatons. Some of the scenes you describe, like the 'goodbye soldier' scene, are in the regular making ofs, so I'd say they were just grabbed from there. From other things you describe though, yes, it does seem like it was another version of this. Annoyed I didn't chase the one I paid for now, although I'm suspecting that was never sent because if turned out that the guy had lost or destroyed his copy also.

nightrider - Once upon a time I was told that due to the extended running time of the full Thunderdome making of, it is regarded as a 'feature' for rights purposes. Meaning they have to negotiate a fee for all those appearing if it were to be released commercially. As I said, just something I was told, I never confirmed this rumour from a more reliable source.

If anyone needs any of the above (that I have!), happy to help out. Would prefer a swap for any material I don't have (interviews, the same programs from different airings - you never know what you find), etc. Otherwise covering the costs is fine (remembering that I'm in Australia, so postage to most of you is not cheap). Would also swap for the loan of a working Beta VCR (if any of you are in Melbourne), I have some old copies of the MM3 making of and MM2 Lost Version which need to be transferred across, but no machine to play them on currently!
