I think the description of it that I mentioned was somewhere on this web site.

I read this scene in the original script and I think it is in the novel too, but I have never before heard it mentioned that it was actually filmed. I would not cite IMDB as an accurate source.

IMDB. aye? i wouldn't put to much faith in them, they have alot of ... um, misinformation fed to them by overenthusiastic fans, i've had to contact them a number of times over certain movies here and there, adn correct their mistakes.

I first heard of the famous MAD MAX 2 opening scene, when i baught the script off EBAY 5 years ago, i baught it up once, in great detail (this might of been where you heard it ALEX), and had everyone running off and looking for proof of its existence and sh*t (well not everyone, but a couple of the Newcomers back in 2003).

I don't think WEZ picked up GOLDEN YOUTH from the Farm house, ALEX - i think he was always there.

I've finally found the post I spoke of about the opening of MM2.It was on IMDB and posted on this site in March by Uncle Entity.

A mate of mine was at a film convention on 6th and 7th of March in London, UK and got Vernon Wells' autograph. Big Vern said that there is a SE DVD of RW coming out this year, probably July and that the reason Warners haven't mentioned it yet is because they are uncertain whether it will be part of a box set or released as a stand alone item.

Apparently he was involved in filming a retrospective documentary and said that Virginia Hey (Warrior Woman) wouldn't contribute to the release in any way.

He also shed some light on the "missing" opening scene from RW by stating that they filmed a scene where he and the other baddies are pillaging a farm and kill all the people there bar one, who is the blonde guy that we see on the back of his motorbike, later killed by The Feral Kid. He lets him live and join the Dogs of War. Then Max drives past and they all rush to their vehicles to give chase, Max hits the supercharger and fux off and after a brief passage of time the scene is then as we now see it with the camera pulling out of the supercharger to reveal only 3 nasties still in pursuit due to the Interceptor's power.

Incidentally there are 2 people in the car that fires all those arrows at Max just as he brakes, hitting Wez but you have to pause the DVD to see this.
