Actually the image is a cartoon version of the front of the interceptor when it was restored by Bob Fursenko.. after MM2P-Tron wrote:It's interesting how the Interrupter on the cover of the Immortan Joe book looks more like the MM1 version with its fromt grilletc intact then the one in the actuall movie.
Probably just artist license.

I'm betting not. Reboot. Etc.rustycarr wrote:So will the prequel stories about Max intertwine with MM1 and 2 ?

Re: Mad Max Fury Road Books
It's interesting that Max's prequel is getting 2 books instead of one like the others, so lots to cover I guess.

High in the Citadel there exists a bio-dome of clean air and pure water, protected from the toxicity and anarchy of the Wasteland. Here the warlord Immortan Joe keeps his most prized possessions – his wives – imprisoned for his pleasure and his insistence that they bear him healthy male heirs. Then, amid this cruel depravity, an unlikely rescuer emerges…the Immortan’s most lethal warrior: the Imperator Furiosa. From the mind of George Miller, the creator of the Mad Max trilogy, the prelude miniseries to the upcoming film Mad Max: Fury Road continues!
"Mad Max: Fury Road- Furiosa" #1 is scheduled for release on June 17.

Tommy Lee Edwards, who is drawing the covers for the comics, has been putting up updates including his pencil work for the Max issues. Seems to be that the actions that take place in Mad Max and Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior still form the basis and origin for Max in Fury Road since the cover looks to depict the Mack truck and Yellow MFP Interceptors.
Tristan Jones' pencils for Furiosa are looking fantastic too!

I'm curious to see how they will handle Max's Interceptor if they decide to put Mad Max 2 as one of the origin plot.DGSimo wrote:Tommy Lee Edwards, who is drawing the covers for the comics, has been putting up updates including his pencil work for the Max issues. Re: Mad Max Fury Road Books
Maybe the new Interceptor was the Max's reward, à la "my vehicle and all the juice I can carry", for some help he provided to some healthy community between Mad Max 3 and Mad Max 4 ? It's all conjecture from me since I know nothing from the plot and saw no trailers eitherOl' Coyote wrote:DGSimo wrote:Tommy Lee Edwards, who is drawing the covers for the comics, has been putting up updates including his pencil work for the Max issues.
