VRP's upcoming slate includes "The Lego Movie" starring Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett opening February 7, 2014; "All You Need Is Kill" starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton opening June 6, 2014; and "Mad Max: Fury Road" starring Nicholas Hoult, Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron set to open in 2015.
It's a press release from Village Roadshow. You'd think they of all people would get their facts straight wrt release dates and such for films they themselves are financing.

wrt ??? What does that mean. I don't understand your post, pal.

Most likely a typo for "with" and a general statement that I apparently missed the article was an actual press release issued by Village Roadshow and that Fury Road is now apparently a 2015 release.
Despite being an official press release, I think the date is an error. I see no reason why they would delay release that long, particularly if the game is already announced as coming out next year. 2015 makes little sense to me. If anything, it's an even more competitive year film-wise.
Then again, given the history of this movie............

Thanks for the reply, DGsimo.

Thanks for the explanation. The internet and its weird english shorthands...
If 2015 is accurate, it's a huge disappointment. It's a trend now with movies like Man of steel to have a post-production so long (I found it weird too). But Mad Max would break a new record here (2012-2015!!). Mad Max is not Superman and don't need as much VFX and such a long post-prod... I was so happy that 2014 was around the corner, and now... this! We have to wait: maybe it's a mistake (even if vastly unbelievable).
It does seem odd to have that much post production work to do, yet it makes even less sense for a completed film to sit in the can on a shelf waiting for an opportune release date. However, considering how it's all about opening weekend and then films quickly go to DVD release, staking a claim on a release date before the competition is strategic.
Either that or they are just f***ing with us

Sad thing is this happens constantly. I was just reading about 47 Ronin, a film originally scheduled for November 2012 but delayed twice with a possible Christmas 2013 release, last night before bio posted about the delay.
Theres' an email address in the press release to contact a rep from Village Roadshow. Perhaps Peter or somebody else from here could drop them a line to get clarification?
