I didn't read the article completely at first. But it is indeed not related to the MM movie. But they reference to Mad Max as a style for the cars they discuss.
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Yes but that was the Sunshine Coast... 2000miles from here... lol

The burnt out ship would be an interesting part of the movie actually... the convoy on the run, meeting the leaving ship (the fact that its partially burnt out would make it more realistic)
Sure, and they have to make it onto the ship because the polar ice caps are melting and the ship is a large place to store fuel. Max takes pity on a young rebellious boy who has a mean streak and is missing an eye and likes smoking and tries to take him under his wing. This child is named Deacon....

Deacon lost an eye during the attack on the Atol when Kevin Costner (the Mariner) swung the maching gun barge around and the gunner (who looked like a pig) who was blasting away on 4 machine guns shot the fuel barge causing a large explosion.
However the Mariner was also a mutant!

Details, details.
You know how storeys get exaggerated when they get passed on from generation to generation

Notice the chains holding things to the truck. It could be debris is not scrapped until it is known to not be needed again for scene reshoots. I'd imagine any metal not tied down might just walk off, either as souvenirs or scrap.

I didn't think models would be good for this, but they're already gaunt and emaciated so they look the part.

Interesting, those guys look like Gekko (WRONG!! His name is Scrooloose) from MMBT

(The weird 'zombie' kid for those of you whom have rejected Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome altogether)
