Well there's our answer on the Interceptor then

This looks very strange.
An interceptor. But the colour is more silver(ish), a much higher supercharger, still got the zoomies, a jacked up rear end and something like a cylinder drop-tank under the rear. Or it is an old LPG tank used for methane.
I'm very curious what role the car will have and what character will drive it.

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

http://www.madmaxmovies.com/forum/viewt ... t=+#p85439Went to the pub last night and got into a conversation with a bloke who said he was working on Mad Max 4. I thought he was full of it until he showed me some footage from his iphone that showed a metal finished xb coupe with a massive blower and jacked up rear end driving around what looked to be a parking lot.
They have 6 Coupe's 4 of which will be finished in metal as the story in the movie goes there is no more paint left in the world and as there is no water, so metal doesn't rust. (Thats what he told me). The story will start out with a coupe done up like the original.

Interesting stuff!
No water story would support the big issue with vegetation. Plus there's that silver tanker we've been wondering about.

To me, the thing I take away is that this picture proves to me this guy was being truthful (jacked up rear end, metal finish, etc). Hence, I expect to see "a coupe done up like the original" to start the movie. He also said 6 coupes were built, but only for with a metal finish. I'm going to guess that the other two are the ones done up like the original. Food for thought.

Some of the cars are rusty?the story in the movie goes there is no more paint left in the world and as there is no water, so metal doesn't rust
The Gigihorse looks to have 2 weapons mounted on the rear. The silver interceptor also has a rear weapon.

Have been told 2 coupes made up as per MM2 by a few sources and shown a photograph of one of the Interceptors in a warehouse prior to it being sent to Africa.biolumen wrote:To me, the thing I take away is that this picture proves to me this guy was being truthful (jacked up rear end, metal finish, etc). (sorry been told not to post the pic).
Are the silver coupes paying homage to the orginal?

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
Maybe there is a theme (or a set of themes) running throughout. The silver vehicles might be a one particular band/tribe/gang, the rusty rats another, and the spiky sea-urchins a third. Given the Mercedes limo truck looking like a possible 'VIP' vehicle, maybe the silver cars are an armed escort kind of thing. Not sure what to think about the Caddy...I hate to admit it, but it's growing on me.
Looking at these vehicles are opened up, especially the larger ones, some are big enough to live in, even the Caddy. Maybe there are no fixed sets and the whole movie takes place on the move.
