Hi, anyone know the correct dimensions in inches preferably for a 1972 XA Coupe, stock without any Mad Max mods/spoilers etc
Also i'm trying to work out values etc, how much would a good condition 1972 XA Coupe go for nowadays? Anyone got any links to where there are some for sale ? I've tried Australian Ebay but there's not many coupes on there
Is there a difference in value between XA, XB and XC coupes? Thanks for any help

Re: A Few Questions
Diemensions (without looking them up) are comparable to the Mustang of similar year.
There are 6 of the X series coupes for sale on ebay, which is pretty much normal. They are after all, a rare car these days.
Average price for a driveable and roadworthy base model coupe these days is around $10000 these days.
If its a GT and driveable start at $35000
The A,B and C all share the same floor pan, the differences are minimal, the biggest difference is the firewall, heater box and dash in the XC, which is different to the previous models.
The XA also has different door handles and the stamping for the door handle (external) is different to the XB/C. (which are both the same).
The XC has side intrusion bars in the doors and different door internals and trims.
Front bumper, and front guards are interchangeable, but have differences.
XB/XC bonnent is the same item.
Rear tail light lens on the XA were recessed and sloped. XB/XC lens were flush, all interchangeable.
XC had better suspension, but also carried emissions.
Hardest part is rust.
They all have it!
Small rust replacement panels are available, but complete panels are not available aftermarket (for the moment).

Re: A Few Questions
Thanks for that, great info, regarding prices I was after more of an opinion of what an XA Coupe would be worth in excellent condition, I can't find the 6 coupes on Ebay you mention, is that Australian Ebay I assume ? Are there any dealerships that have any for sale at the moment? Thanks

Re: A Few Questions
Very few dealers touch old cars here, even if it s a XB GT they wont want it.
Thats why you wont find any for sale at a dealer unless it just sells muscle cars.. and in Australia there are very few if any.
Yes on Australian eBay. They were only produced and sold in Australia.
There is probably at least 20/30 coupes (probably more) in the USA, these were all imported by individuals over the last 15yrs or so.
There are a dozen or so scattered elsewhere around the world, mostly as madmax replicas.
Like i said before... it will depend on model/ condition to determine price.
$10000 as a starting price these days for anything in reasonable condition.

Re: A Few Questions
A very good GT replica (if fitted with GT parts etc) will fetch almost the same price as the genuine article (crazy i know).
$25000 to $35000? However that car doesnt appear to be concours at all... too many non genuine bits etc...

Re: A Few Questions
I can elaborate on this one a little. Mad Max Cars has imported more than 70+ XA-XC Coupes (and sent more than a few to other countries), many of which were GT, GS, Goss, XA Superbird, XC Cobra, Horn cars, and other rare trim options (along with Landaus, Monaros, Chargers etc). They were the USA's first improter of these beatuies so they have been at it for a while, and I believe they have remained the most prolific in the years since. My guess with them, and the other importers and individuals who have brough in cars, there is likely about 130 in the USA, not counting the ones that have been going back lately (cant really keep track of those).roadwarriormfp wrote: There is probably at least 20/30 coupes (probably more) in the USA, these were all imported by individuals over the last 15yrs or so.
