That's looking great already.
But you're not forgetting the steering rod, are you? I don't see one. An little detail easy to forget.

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Cheers Night Walker,
your right it dosent have a steering rod yet, I have to mount the grill in place first but that cant go in until the engine goes in !
as its a bit tight in the frame they need to go in first before the rod goes in. lots of mocking up and measuring before it all gets glued together though.
Cheers mate
all the best,
Barry.

its getting there slowly, you can see the second external fuel tank between the chassis rails in the 2nd photo,
as its a recon type vehicle it will need to carry more fuel !
all the best,
Barry.

Re: Another one !.....Post Apocalypse Hot Rod the DESERT RA
well its been just over 2 months Since I posted anything, But with good reason...........my Laptop decided to throw a wobbly and some of the Keys decided not to work
and then to make matters worse, the Kind staff at Currys in Worcester "England" where the Laptop was Bought. Decided that it was not there Problem and they were'nt going to fix it. even though its only six months old and still under Warranty !
However one call to Trading Standards soon sorted that out !
and now I FINALY have a working Laptop Again. and the moral of this Story......................Be Careful where you shop when you purchase a new Computer,
they are Happy to take your Money until something goes Wrong.
any way...............
on a happier Note, RUST.
Finaly got round to Weathering the Desert Rat
and spending lots of time on this model with the streaks and runs of rot and rust. adding layers of waterd down mixes of red and brown,

I have also started weathering the Engine Block and have yet to fit the Distributer cap to the Ht leads.
but nearly there.

Bubba is almost ready for a cruise on the Highway and a bout of road rage !

Im now adding rust to all of the Chassis and frame work, and then I can add some layers of dirt and dust.
thats for the Weekend.
until then all the best and take care every one.
Barry.

An awesome build. But the firing order is off on the distributor cap.
