Now this looks weird ... not sure if it will be good'n weird or just plain weird.
All I know about it is from an invite that I received on Facebook from an ex-student ... who may or may not be working on the MM4 Game ... assuming one was being made ... who know of my interest in all things Max. I'm not sure that you can get to the link if you are not signed up to Facesbook so here's the blurb ...
The MAD MAX remix is the much anticipated new show from the team behind the outrageous cult phenomenon ‘WONKA! A live cinema remix’. Using re-edited, re-animated footage from the entire original Mad Max trilogy, the MAD MAX remix follows the story of Max, the greatest dancer of all time, on his quest to join Madame Turner's prestigious Bartertown Dance Academy. The re-edited film plays silently while actors, musicians and foley artists recreate the new dialogue and soundtrack live. This is a re-scripted singing, dancing, cinematic experience. This is Mel as you’ve never seen him before. This is a live video remix.

Re: Mad Max Remix event
Sounds interesting......
If anything like the "d-generations" version of MUd or Bargearse it would probably be quite funny.... as long as you take it in the given sense ?

Re: Mad Max Remix event
Sounds similar to something I saw in Sydney back in the 80s. A group of comedians calling themselves Double Take would show a film with the sound down and from the back of the cinema do a complete new voice soundtrack live. Very very funny. First they did it with an old B movie called Astro Zombies, and then with an old Hercules film. The concept itself was turned into a film called Hercules Returns which ironically starred Bruce Spence.

Re: Mad Max Remix event
I'm all for the remix things like Grease, Disney films & so on, as they had music soundtracks & were generally classed as musicals.
Mad Max however in my opinion should be left as it is, who needs to see a Max look-alike on stage prancing in tights singing praise to vermin he killed.
This is one of Australia's finest cult films released, & should be preserved in its entirety as a hard core, in your face true Aussie masterpiece that it is. Keep it dry, dusty, & brutal, the way its meant to be.

If it's all the same to you....I'll drive that tanker!
