Opening up the Auto Art Interceptor...?

Post by Havoc »

Has anyone successfully opening up (and re-closed) their 1/18 Interceptor yet...? Yeah, I know there are screws on the bottom, but given that it was such an expensive purchase, I just wanted to make sure that I could get it back together without a hitch or hassle.

I'm looking to weather the interior and maybe add a couple of bits...

Thanks!

Regards and Aloha,

Johnny ,
I haven't opened up a Interceptor but these are the same as any of the Biante Falcon coupes. There are several screws in the bottom including 2 under the rear sway bar. You need to carefully pry the bar up with out snapping the ends off. There are also 2 hidden in the top of the rear wheel wells. Which usually require removing the rear wheels to access them . Again great care is needed to remove them without damaging the wheel hub or axle. good luck and just take your time. Also keep track of what screw goes where as they are different lengths and thread sizes used.
