I started making a Ghostbusters proton pack. Never did finish it though. There are heaps of resources on the net for building your own movie props.
It's mostly plywood with some styrene, and an ALICE pack frame just like the originals. One day I might finish it, hehe.

There's a lot of work and research in that thing. You've gotta finish it. But you might have the same problem I have with lightsabres, you can't get the crystal to make them work on this planet.

Do they actually refer to those as "Proton Pack" in the movie?
The only references I can recall are "Positron Collider" and "Unlicensed Nuclear Accelerator" (Though I'm not as familiar with the sequel)
First time I heard "Proton Pack" was in the cartoon.
"Go ahead and run. Run home and cry to mama! Me, I'm Through runnin'!"

The term "Proton Pack" probably came from the cartoon which aired from 1986, but they definatelly call it a Proton Pack in Ghostbusters 2.

way too many to choose from, but i'll not be greedy and say the dude's bowling ball from the big lebowski or walter's uzi.
step right up, chum, and watch the kid lay down the rubber road right to freedom!
