Dark Horse thanks Vanpyre Models when describing his conversion.

I recall seeing a web site for Vanpyre a while back where they were developing a resin conversion kit for a Biante 1/18 xb. Can't find it now but they were Perth based.

I'm doing one right now from a Biante/AutoArt 1:18 Ford Falcon XB GT. I'm having some luck finding parts.

So is there someone out there that actually makes a Arcadipane nose for the 1/18 scale XB/XC Falcon models?

I've only found two guys that have done this conversion, and neither of them have nose parts available.

I will be making my own. Once I get it right, and make a master mold, I should offer it to others. I'm planning on doing an entire conversion kit out of metal and resin.

Sorry... don't think that completely answered your question.

No, I do not know of any source for a 1:18 scale Arcadipane style nose. The two guys to which I was referring had fabbed their own. The closest thing I have found is the '79 IMSA Chevy Monza nose, but there was only one model ever made in 1:18... an RC car, and good luck finding that. And even if you did, it would have to be highly modified to fit the XB.

This is why I've decided to model and cast my own. Most complicated part of the whole conversion.

I'd be interested in 1/18 nose cone, flutes, spoilers especially if I could mod to fit a 73 Mach 1. Also looking for 1/18 MFP decals (don't want other peoples personal plates). Any one have a link?

I'll keep posting as the project progresses. Whatever works, I'll be glad to share.

Haven't seen any decals in 1:18.

I was going to print my own on waterslide paper, and then clearcoat over them.

Here are some shots of them from this site:

Those decals are perfect man. Now if only there was an 'affordable' 1/18 scale Aussie Falcon coupe model.
