Martino if you have an axe to grind with me you better do it in a manner that is a bit more formal than this. I bent over backwards to give you a deal and you f#%k&d me over and left me out in the cold to dry. I have bitten my lip for far too long to sit here and read this unjustified sh!t. I have the car you COMMITTED to buy in my garage. It is now worth 5+ times what you AGREED to pay for it and then backed out with every excuse under the sun. Don't come on here spurting off at the mouth like you know it all and are holier than thou.

Dan, Lawrence will look after you, you are in good hands, just ask some of the guys that actually made a commitment AND followed through with it and got their cars. They are all happy with the quality and the cars have all appreciated nicely making them not only a fun toy but a good investment.

I've done more than a little business with Aussie Coupes, both Lawrence and Phil. They're the ones who brought in the Last V8 (from Back 2 the Max) for me. They brought it over, had some work it needed done, done by very qualified people and oversaw all the work - even a few crazy requests I had, then shipped her down to Texas. 4 days later I drove it to San Antonio and back, 550 miles, based on my trust in the work they did. That trust was justified. Since then they've brought in parts and other goodies for me, stuffing them into containers and such, they're good guys. Make sure you get good pictures of the car's glass, though, that can be really expensive to source.

Yeah I have delt with Aussie Coupes. I bought mine several years ago and they checked out more than a few cars for me before I said yes to my 76 XBGS coupe. Their inspections are very good and they even overstated some issues. Did get many pictures of the mechanical aspects of the car and all issues were fully documented. None and I repeat no issues were found other than those stated. I am a ASE certified Master Automotive Tech so I know what I am talking about.

I was pressent when the car came out of the container and drove it home that day. Was very pleased with the purchase and service from these guys. The only thing I did not like was the wait while it was on the ship but I did not pay for air freight either.

I have also seen some of the other cars that have come over and you get what you pay for. You want to pay for a project or a finished example you will get what you want and then some. Mine was a clean original that needed paint and some interior but a good solid base for what I wanted. I stipulated either a car with nice paint and interior needing running gear or a car with good body needing freshened up that already had the good running gear. I ended up with the latter. The price I paid was fair and resonable for what I recieved.

I would be more than happy to talk directly to anyone considering a purchase with them and fill you in on my experience.

Aussie Coupes Interceptor Purchase

For anyone that has seen my website about my Mad Max Interceptor project, my car too was obtained through Aussie Coupes. The car arrived in September 2004.

Phil was great in helping make my dream come true. I received 50 pictures of the car, including the usual trouble spots and close-ups of a couple very small issues on the car. I was then called on the phone and we went through each one of the pictures together, critiquing what we were looking at in each one as well as getting answers to my questions before I committed to buying the car. I got pictures of the car at every step of it's transportation. Everything went smooth and was as good or better than I could have hoped for. I would get my next car through Phil as well......if I could get it past the wife.

Also, based on what others have claimed to have paid for their cars I feel I got a great deal on my car. Two years after I got the car and finally had time to tear it apart I wrote Phil another letter to let him know how ecstatic I am with the condition of the car, especially after seeing some of the nightmares that some people find in their cars.

All I had to do was sit and wait for it to come. This was nice piece of mind. I arranged shipping by truck to get it from Oregon to my house in Ohio. If anyone needs a reference for a good trucking company drop me a line, the one I used was great.

Been there, done that, would do it again.

I got my Dec 73 XB through Phil as well. Straight body and hardly a rust spot anywhere (maybe five $0.25-sized spots, easily repairable)...overall a good clean car. After anxiously waiting for a while, I had my dream car...delivered right out in front of the design studio.

Hehehe...she don't look like that now...5 colors and about 100 pieces...or more.

That photo was photoshopped for a resturant wall that has everybodys car on it. I patched in the Pinnacles behind my Ypsilanti driveway to get rid of the crap in the background.

Just for the record, I've purchased an XC Falcon Coupe back in 2001 from Aussie Coupes, and have had no problems whatsoever! They even delivered the car right to my door after this was agreed upon! If you want to get an Aussie Falcon from Aussie Coupes, they have a good Rep. for getting good cars! They've delivered good cars in the States, the UK, and here in Canada. My 2 cents.

Wow, great information guys. I am a beleiver I just needed to get the last yard. Thank you everyone. I am just a few days away from making the deal and I am very excited. Even more so now. You guys are great. It's just hard dealing over the net and phone with someone you have never met. They have been incredible to me thus far and the service has been professional and outstanding. I beleive we pay extra for security and piece of mind. I don't mind paying a bit extra for someone to cover my ass especially when they are the experts and I am not. Thanks again. Will post pics of my new car when it gets here.
