Check this out guys, back in late 1971 AMC aka Amercian Motors or 'Rambler' to you Aussies made just over 100 of these cars for the Alabama state troopers.they came with a 401 AMC V8 and they flat assed MOVED. heres a replica of one on ebay. It makes me miss my 73 Javelin I had like hell.

nice pics indeed. Why not a higher price though, considering the rarity of these cars?
Mudguts, get out of there. Candulini, put her against the post.

Still a few days to go. I imagine the price will jump up on the last day. Collectibles bring out the snipers.

Gotta luv unadulterated V8 power. It would be interesting to see how it would perform against a modern Crown Vic on assorted courses (open roads, city streets, etc...). Hell, throw in a Monaco and a few others and find the all time best cop car.

There is a 72 amc javelin that was a factory 401 in a town about 35 klms from me, apparently it was one of about 17 brought into australia. It's suffered a very heavy rollover & the engine & trans were ratted out to go in a drag car. I supplied these pics to the Australian Javelin registry last year sometime.

i saw those pursuit cars on automaniac (the one with the dumb wrestler!).

They sure look awesome. He says "They 'needed the rear spoiler to put the police logo on the back', but i think its just because it looks good".

Makes me glad the only dent I put in my Javelin was from my elbow after doing a Dukes of Hazzard roll over the hood when those Football* players took offense at my friends & I..
