Check out the valve covers on that 'Cuda! It has an aluminum Indy block and aluminum Indy heads; the only thing that would make that 528" Hemi cooler than it is would be to add EFI and an injector hat with butterfly valves. The guy is asking $175,000 for the car; ouch!

siigh another idiot whos watched the barret Jackson auctions too many times

Its Black, its Mean....
The price seems steep considering that the car started out life as a 318 Barracuda, it isn't a numbers matching car, and it doesn't have all original sheet metal either; The 'Cuda bits were added later; it still is pretty nice but you could build one just like it for less; bulding that engine and having the chassis modified like he did would still be enough for a decent down payment on a house though. The guy has bought, restored, and sold several E-body 'Cudas so he must have an idea what price he can get away with; assuming he can get that price then I wouldn't call him an idiot; somebody somewhere will probably offer him something close to that; some guy with lots of money and no skills to do the work himself will probably go for it.

No skills or No Time..
For example.. I'm certainly capable of putting sway links & bushings in a Fox Chassis Capri.. and ain't got it done yet.
If I'd known the wife was pregnant when I bought it.. I probably wouldn't have.

Hey Bart, can't forget the $5000 stereo which rattles the license plate to sh#t! How 'bout a couple extra screws? LOL

Well, that & the "Rat Rod" commentary makes me think of all the lip I'd get about my old Javelin. The car ran, it got me to work, and, at quitting time, just starting the engine would set off all the car alarms of those "lippy" guys. They'd come out, look around, shut off thier alarms, then go back to what they were trying to finish before going home. ...then I'd give the old car some gas, and the alarms would go off again.

I definitely miss My Javelin, that's for sure.
'73 Pierre Cardin edition, Diamond Blue Metallic with AMX rear spoiler & chrome 8-spoke rims. (Similar to the Interceptors' and Pursuits' sunraysias)
360, bored 30 over, 9.5 to 1 compression, Holley Carb, Hooker headers (I think they were Hookers. They weren't marked when I bought 'em.) and Edelbrock Aluminum valve covers.
Machine is in storage out at my folks' Acreage waiting for gas to become Free.
(Hey, I got a family to feed.. can't afford to feed a car that drinks 15 gallons in 12 miles, though that was due to a stuck float) :p
