BTW.. I like big diameter wheels too.. 17" and 18" stuff looks awesome in the right combo on most muscle cars as well I t hink. (and I have sent quite alot of those sizes of wheels/tires to Oz with good results I think on the cars..)

That 'Cuda is one VISCIOUS looking machine!!

Last Season on Dream Car Garage, they profiled the building of a "modernized" version of a '71 'Cuda by Xtreme Velocity Motorsports; they followed the progress on every episode for the season and then they test drove the car on the season finale. The end result was a '71 'Cuda that drove like a modern high performance car; it was quite interesting to see all of the R&D that went into the project. You definitely would need to go to bigger wheels to fit those 14" Rotors and 6-piston Calipers that they installed on the front. If I was going to go that route, I would probably use Wheel Vintique's Billet Chrysler Rallye Wheels; they help keep that factory-influenced Mopar look for 17" and 18" wheels. The project car isn't on Xtreme's website but they show off their products so it's worth checking it out. I like the idea of a badass pro street 'Cuda; but the Xtreme route would probably be more enjoyable to drive most of the time; plus, having room for a back seat might be nice; Xtreme uses the new Chrysler Hemi for their cars; I would be strongly tempted to give up a little in the handling and weight department for the look and sound of an aluminum KB Hemi and a Shaker hood; this coil-on-plug KB Hemi from Mopar Engines West would look pretty good in one of Xtreme Velocity's 'Cudas.

Ungawa... Tarzan like very much! Looks great, even without the GT trim. Do you have any other specs available? Is that the car in the picture below? I love E-body and B-body Mopars but that Falcon is pretty sweet!

Thanks Kevin. That is the one. Opted not to go with the GT style grille and blackouts just to make it look a little more different.

You have to love America, there is no way you could legally drive this baby in Australia yet there is no law against it in the USA.

What speciffically would be Illegal in Aus?

Wheel tubs?

Wide Tires?

(Not doubting, mind you.. I'm Just Unclear)

'S one of my favorite things about my area in the US..

Not much is illegal, Car wise..

I do wish they'd enforce the things that are Legitimate safety issues, though.

Yep you got both right......

You could probably get an engineer to sign for the wheel tubs as a modification....(?)

But the wheel width is the main problem.....

Most aussie states only allow a 1inch larger width, then the widest tyre available from the factory....

Nice... that is my second favorite E-body; I prefer '71 but '70 is a close second; I hate the rear marker lights and the round taillights on the '72; the '73 was well on it's way to becoming a depressing trend; thankfully, they stopped making E-bodys before they completely ruined them. I love Dodge Challengers too, but I prefer Plymouth 'Cudas any day; especially 1970-1971.

I like the Challengers more probably, I had a '70 Challenger for a few years, was a factory orange with white roof car, kinda cool color combo. But the Cuda ain't something I would say no too of course, lol.

(and yep, those are Bathurst Globes I ran on it! )
