I just got done brewing my own beer and after tasting it I dubbed thee SLUDGE!! Vile stuff.
I once was a VB man but upon drinking beer that is good...... I just won't go near that stuff again. I drink ASAHI SUPER DRY (Japanese stuff) sapporo is pretty good to but ASAHI is the best dam beer around, unless of course you take German beers into account due to the lack of preservatives and added extra whatnots.
I found a shop here that imports beer and to my delight they had VB, bought the lot and downed them all in one evening. Oh the horror and memory of those 'shattered' hangovers! Hell I can drink nigh on 20 Asahi's and live to tell the tale yet that VB vile has 'call in sick' written all over it. (lucky I'm the boss)
Fosters is actually a good beer if like me...........you disregard the stigma attached and bother to try it yourself. Well that's just what drunk thinks.

I tried a bottle a little while ago. There was a bit a hopp taste, but not as bad as regular beer. [/font]
I'm going to try pouring a bottle into a glass and see if that affects the flavor any.
I saw some Wisconsin brewery had some kind of raspberry beer. I'll have to get that next time, and if its not there, I'll have to try one of the honey wheat beers.

Pete's Wicked makes a strawberry blonde that is interesting. With the fruity beers the first one goes down as an interesting flavor sensation. More than one starts to taste like someone has dumped the jam into the beer.

Cam, it's a beer, not a Sheila!
Keegan Ales here in Kingston has a tap room where you can sit and sample the various brews before taking some home. They have Old Capital, Hurricane Kitty, and Mother's Milk (my fav) are all good beers, but outside of local resturaunts you can only get them from the brewery.

Ovverhead, I mentioned it above. One last thing, don't pour it into a glass since it seems to negatively affect the taste.

That's interesting,...I became a convert to the glass years ago. Unless I'm somewhere inconvenient, I'll always pour into a glass. The aroma adds to the flavor, you don't get any nose out of a bottle. And it looks so welcoming and right--a glass of beer, with a proper foamy head at the top, not too thick, just enough to make you wait a moment or two. It's what dreams are made of. Mine, anyway....
