Worrying news about the special edition dvd
I went to EzyDvd.com to see if they had finally put up a cover for the release and I couldn't find the title on the coming soon page. I then went to the link - http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/787665 - and next to the release date (Wednesday, 09 August 2006) it said ............. No Longer Available
I hope that just mean it's postponed for a VERY short while.

There is no Miller commentary.
Unfortunately the extras will be about as slim as the MM1 special edition.
Just a new remaster and some dodgey extra bits.
No fun.

I was so looking forward to this!

Once again Warner Bros have made me unleash my dogs of war! I am still mighty pissed off with WB after the endless cockups they made on the Babylon 5 Season Box Sets.
Will we ever get a proper all bells and whistles Special Edition Trilogy box set with all the extras? For such a successful series as the Max trilogy, the way it has been poorly treated DVD wise is a complete mystery and it must be by now the only series of films without some sort of definitive DVD box set like we have with the likes of Alien etc.

Here it is from the horses mouth.
[div]Thank you for much for your interest in Warner Home Video products. Unfortunately, at this time, there are no plans for a Special Edition of Mad Max 2.[/font][/div]

useless they are. No one wants to wait around years for a special edition.Mad Max region 4 release i don't think is even a proper special edition. Just a few notes on the movie and two trailers of mad max 2 and thunderdome not really worthy of being called a special edition. One of the more popular cult movies ever made and no special edition?. Whos the manager at WB he needs a good spanking same with roadshow as well..shame on you..
