People go to museums to see things in the "flesh". Thats why people still go to art galleries despite their being many books and sites dedicated to artists and paintings. The idea that a picture of me and the interceptor, splashed all over the net, would satisfy all those those who wanted to see the real thing is very flattering but even my own mother would find that hard to believe. I take the point that any museum is better than no museum, although I wasn't really arguing that, but I would have still liked a souvenir (and would have paid for the privilege).

Anyway, nuff said - I'll move on with life.

But how many people go to an art gallery specifically to have there photo taken with a picture on the wall?!! None I'd say, they go to admire what's on display.

The explanations given above by myself and 2050 were to assist in the reasoning behind the 'no photo' rule,as was given to us after a lengthy chat with the owners brother,we're not trying to be smart or clever but just pass on the correct info.

Even if there was a copyright on the car,which there isn't, you cannot enforce this on someone taking a photo, it is the use of the image that would infringe copyright laws.

I think the problem here was your original post,no introduction,just slating the museum purely because photos are banned and the guy on the door looked miserable. When I first read the topic heading 'carsofthestarsWARNING' I fully expected to read on and find that Al Queda had set up camp in the museum or that small children were being abducted whilst admiring the Bat Mobile!

The majority of fans on this board have been on here for years and are very knowledgeable about all things Mad Max,including the 'No Photo' rule at the museum,so to actually warn these fans to avoid the museum purely because you had a bad experience certainly wouldn't wash with most on here of whom would jump at the chance to see the car if ever over here visiting the UK for what ever reason.

Whoa Adrian, calm down man. I didn't mean to question your superior knowledge of all things max and I would have certainly reworded my original message if I realised what massive upset it would have caused amongst some. All I wanted to do was warn people with an apparent similar interest of a disappointing visit to a museum. If you don't agree just ignore the warning - I can't help feeling the way I feel!

By the way Adrian do you like Star Trek too?

Just can't help some people.

Let others judge for themselves,they don't need a warning from you,remember,it was your own personal opinion of the car and museum.

The only massive upset you seem to have caused was to your own visit to the museum,you've made a mountain out of a mole hill and disguised it with wise ass remarks.

Don't be an asshole,your attempt at sarcasm is wasted on me.

By Jaysus I thought ya got a photo of yerself in it!!! blah mind you a small price to pay to sit in the legend that is!!

Yeah but i'm sure the poor guy that posted here a while back ended up paying through the nose for an autographed pic of the Hoff! Does that count as worth it?LoL
