Those racist idiots proclaiming "We grew, you flew" need to note that their ancestors were not native to the land either. Have any of these drunken buzzards ever pondered what the leaders of their ancestors did to the aboriginal tribes?

Frankly i am disturbed at some of the naked racism dislayed on this site of late.

Its that ingrained attitude that festers away and manifests itself in acts like the cronulla beach display.

Wrapping yourself in an aussie flag while wailing 40 to 1 on a foreigner is not the aussie way.

The problems seem to go back many years and there is no doubt that middle eastern crime gangs are becoming ingrained, but the people that the cronulla beach crusaders beat up probably had nothing to do with the racist acts they claim had been perpetrated by the lebanese gangs.

sadly i expect tit for tat based on skin colour for months. its going to get nasty.

ultimately though, racism is a cowards shield.

instead of targetting the entire community, identify the criminals and lock them up. do you really think that their violent behaviour is only aimed at aussies at the beach ? they do to their own communities ten times what they do to others. unfortunately ingrained in these ethnic communities is a fear of engaging with the law enforcement agencies, as in their homelands these agencies are corrupt criminal organisations themselves.

this is the big problem that the police face in tackling this problem.

obviously the police should have acted upon complaints muuch earlier, but you cant jump in a wayback machine can you.

i dont have a solution but bashing anyone based on skin colour is not right.

and for the smug racists out there who think they are superor, i hate to break it to you but there is ony one human race and your part of it just like the people whose skin is a different shade to yours.

I love my country, i love multicultural Australia. My neighbours are bosnians, eritreans and aussies. i work with a filipino guy and a canadian girl. thats modern australia, blending away.

the violence that occurs is a minor problem when viewed over a 60 year migration program.

The problem has indeed festered for many years and nothing has been done about it.

This is to put it simply a lack of respect by many members of the different ethnic groups, including those who say they were there first. Many migrants are ignored and told to mingle with their own groups and not made welcome at all. The children of these migrants... like a lot of normal other teenagers out there.... grow up angry..... No one has shown them respect.. not even their own parents.

The Law and all previous governments especially are to blame to... For years they have turned a blind eye to it.... and have also used the softly softly approach. Criminals have more rights then the victom. Crime no longer is punished, but instead more excuses are made for them. Hence... no respect for the law. The mentallity is simply i can do what ever i want and get away with this.

The groups of teenages who roam the streets at night prove this. Do what i want.... when i want and to whom i want.... is their mentallity.

The Sydney siders who went on a drunken rampage bashing people because of their skin colour (nevermind that these people were simply walking past and have nothing to do with the ethnic gangs involved) lost any credibility as to their cause. Lowering yourself to their standard means they are nothing more them scum themselves.

And yes im gonna have a dig at you Bart.

Tell me something.... it seems to me that you blindingly paint all "Arabs" with the same brush. So going by your standards i should paint all American's with the same brush too. As a group of rapists... drug runners and murderer's. Think carefully before you answer.
