Who actually liked arena?

Post by realMax »

I'm hoping this will keep zanetti quiet...

An online poll here, who actually liked arena? You can answer with a simple yes or no, or on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest.

My answer is a 'no', with a 1.

a little, maybe 3.

It`s not Max.

The opening scene already points the way, Mad is/was a good guy and the type to avoid a fight unless attacked, witness the Landau chase or mowing down the trashmen. Can`t see him sneaking up on a campfire and cutting throats.

Arena misses why fans like MM, which is VEHICLES, BIKES, HORSEPOWER. The tale has the combatants entering the ring, then exiting victorious having wiped out the competition. What happened, how the drivers felt or reacted, how the vehicles were built or tweaked....no details. Which is why it doesn`t identify for me.

Think it links better to Escape from New York or Carmageddon, needs lots more guts and engines though.

Don`t feel happy with the depth of criticism on this site of Zanetti, but there it is

I gave up reading it quite early, it wasn't so much the content but the format it was posted in. I just couldn't be arsed to copy and paste it into .txt ...... I also gave up planning on even doing that, after Zanetti started his little antics. He's over-run just about every thread on this forum with references to Arena and his sob story of how he's been ripped off etc etc. I'm beginning to wonder if the lad is in a care home or something.

Short answer: No, I haven't read it but from bike's comment above I'm not missing much, doesn't sound like a Mad Max story at all. So chances are I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

-5 out of 10 anyway cos it's him.

Biker

PS. I also predict somewhere in this thread they'll be a reply posting from Zenetti containing yet another .wav or .wmv file link (which I won't bother clicking on, any more than the other 40 he's posted already) in retaliation for us having the audacity of not enjoying the love child he made with Sprint... errr I mean his right hand.

Its School Holidays...He's got a lot of spare time on his hands.

I'm with you Biker...It was too painful to read but I would've initially given him a 1/10 for effort!

But his "Antics" have brought him down into the negative didgits !

Y'know saying things like "I'm with you Biker" OverheadCam might be mis-interpreted by a certain deluded individual into thinking that I'm something of a leader here LOL!

Suspect he was that "fruitloop" that slipped past you in that nuthouse!!

P.S.

Did you get the heating back on?

Here in Oz if a Sheila complains that its too cold in bed, the blokes just do a fart, it doesn't warm up the bed that much...but it sure stops 'em complaining about the cold!!!Image

Yeah I got the heating back on. The brand new 200 litre electric water tank is up on the wall and all plumbed in. No leaks either. Got myself a big slice out of the tip of my index finger though from a sharp edge on the pipe thread, I swear I could have lit a cigerette with it it stung that much. Image No drawing now for a whole week. Image

Regarding that farting in bed thing. I had a workmate back in the UK who shared a story with us one lunch time. He was lying in bed beside his girlfriend one night and pretended to hack up the biggest loogie he could then pretended to spit it into the air in the darkness above the bed, his girlfriend thinking he'd actually done it dove under the covers.. where he let rip one. Image

The canteen fell apart with laughter. I miss canteen humour... sometimes. Image
