Was Gyrocaptain in on the plan?

Post by SCREWLOOSE »

Aye but I alway thought that meant that the fuel tanker was their lifeline as it held enough fuel to take them all 2000 miles to paradise. Without the fuel they couldnt have got 2000 miles.

See what you mean though Major!

Also is Broken Hill etc where RW is shot 2000 miles from Paradise which I presume's the Gold Coast? Which if it is, does that mean RW was set in Broken Hill etc and not a so called fictional place?
Pray hes out there!!

i always assumed that giro was grinning with a "s**t hey" look on his face in the irony that they both crashed, but survived to the end.and max grinning back because he was amazed to see him too..as max was heading up the highway away from the compound being followed by buggies ..except humungous who stops to put out his fire..max does a u turn back towards the direction of the compound..is this to continue on following the tribe in the hope the marauders would run out of fuel before catching up with the tribe?..and after the crash..why do the remainng marauders then do another u turn to head further away from their own camp.

"So the Defenders using Sand to weigh down the tanker to make it handle and move like it had a full load of Fuel isn't logical?"

No, it slowed them way down, made it easier to shoot out the tires which slowed it down even more.

"Don't think the Marauders would notice the tanker being empty?"

No, I don't. It's called tunnel vision. Even if some thought there was only 10 gallons in it, they would have chased it. There's no way they would take any chance of letting it go.

"They would have. Many tons of difference in the weight would be VERY noticable even to Crazed Marauders.

At the very least it would delay the time it took them to realize it was a decoy."

They had no idea how much fuel was available. They never got a guided tour of the compound. Who said the tank was full in the first place? The Gyro Captain? He would have said anything to BS Max. He was about to get his throat cut.

The heavier vehicle made it much easier to catch and disable, reducing the amount of time it took them to realize it was a decoy. They probably would have gotten away if the tanks were empty. Nice visual effect for the ending of a movie, but a bad plan in reality.

"Max didn't think of Gyro as his partner"

Which means Max was never his partner. And Gyro figured that out before the end of the film.

All I know for sure is that it is one of the best endings in movie history, thanks for ruining it.

Oh, I have seen it a few times (see the "Arena" post) though I sometimes wish I never did.

well i don't have the tiem to read all this. it's obvious that the gyrocaptain was there while max was sleeping off being "fixed" after his accident with the interceptor i think everyone but max new the plan obvious gyro would have been there for hte whole thing with the fillign of the tanker with sand after it was emptied. so anyone who dares say "no way gyro was in on it is either a complete idot or is jsut not lookign hard enough. gyro knew max was their only hope for htis plan that's why he didn't tell max ahead of time and why in the end poppagellos let him do it.
