#4 - More Rumours....

Hi there crew - long time no speaky. Been busy building stuff.

Heh, our local rag ( The Canberra Times) is currently running a series of articles about the history of the newspaper, and what was happening 25 years ago. Well of course, 25 years ago, MM2 was released, and last Saturday?, the lead story in the historic section was about MM2. So far so boring.......until the very last sentence, where GM says " .....and work on MM4 is commencing late 2006." I nearly fell orf the kitchen stool !!! So who knows, there have been so many unsubstantiated rumours for so long now...........perhaps we will see it after all..........

Bring it on....I watched the Interview Mel did on the Mike Walsh Show regards BTD..when asked why he did it...Mels reply was that Mad Max was different and not a normal film etc etc...So whats changed?

wow man, I have not thought about THAT daytime TV-filler for eons, like decades man. Mike Walsh, sheet he would be down the bowlo now, hittin' the Toohey's draft, and loosin' money on the dishlickers rotfl

(dishlickers = Aussie slang for greyhound racing ) hmmm, I hope he hasn't died

...Peter has put the snipets of the Interview on the home page for downloading. I never heard of the fella before he sounds like hes an Aussie Entertainment Legend!!

Mike Walsh was most certainly a *Legend* of daytime TV here. He basically had the lunchtime 'chat' show format all to himself for donkeys years. Nice bloke actually ( at least his public persona), and I think he was OK in real life too ( not all TV *stars* are like that

)

Must get a look at those video clips, finally got broadband now woohoo

I will try my best:

" down the bowlo now " - Down at the local lawn bowls club - A place where pensioners hang out, relive their youth , and play lawn bowls. In NSW, the local beer is 'Tooheys Draught - it is bats piss really

. The closet thing you guys would have is Bud Light brrrrrrr

Dishlickers = greyhound racing dogs ( they call them dishlickers to differentiate them from the nags ie horses - evryone here bets like buggery !!! Mate, aussies would bet on 2 flies crawling up a wall !!
