Pulse : My thoughts are with you and the Texas Twelve.
Last of the V8 Intercepts, a piece of history, would have been a shame to blow it up

So what's the new word? Has anyone had their case dropped or thrown out due to circumstantial evidence, or made simply into a fine?

Legal question: Is "Obstruction of a Highway" a Misdemeanor 1 or 2, or is it a Felony 6?

Hang in there guys...

Well as an update..... We all just continue to get screwed around over this bull$#!t misdemeanor traffic charge.... From what two other members of the Texas twelve tell me. During there re-set arraignment hearing they were told that we as a whole will now be having a pre-trial hearing in October for our Jury Trial in November!!!!! Non of us have been arraigned yet.... We have just gone and gotten reset time after time... Those that have court appointed lawyers, have been getting little to no communication. Those of us with actual Lawyers aren't getting much more... When I asked my lawyer specifically about this turn of events he said...Yes they can do that, because it basically takes us to the highest level of appeal at this point... However he has still not been able to confirm that I personally have been rescheduled (I assume that is common among some of the others, due to their lack of being really pissed off)...... At any rate still no new news for any of you all... We just sit around rotting away at the hands of the justice system... our fund dwindling from trips to court, meeting with lawyers, missed work, hotel stays, gas prices for trips..... Our wives, friends, coworkers and compadres losing patience with us and our plight... Fearing the worst.... And losing all sight of the best.... This is just such cr@p..... I hate to say it but I have lost so much faith in law enforcement, and the justice system over this..........

So who's up for another run???????? (No really, I'm up for it LOL).....[/font]

Sounds like you need media involvement. Any local investigative TV reporters who are advocates of the public when wronged by businesses or local government? We have a guy on the local Fox station here in St. Louis who does a segment on abuses by local government, businesses and court cases that seem to be questionable. He did a story this spring on a guy who got a $300 ticket for picking a piece of mushroom off of a tree on the Arch grounds. Similar in spirit to the San Antonio witch hunt. See if anybody local will run with the ball on this. Could be of nationwide/international interest again as a follow-up story.

Hang in there...
