Mad Max 4 good and bad news.
No Problem..
Us G-Fans get a trifle over-protective of our Giant Radioactive Dinosaur.
We know they movies have a great deal of sillyness and often bad effects, but we tend to ignore these.
Just as Mad Max fans ignore the many bloopers & Flubs found in the MM Trilogy.
Part of the problem lies in the Budget.
As an example, Godzilla vs Biollante (1989) had the Highest Budget for any Japanese movie EVER at the equivalent of $10 Million (USD)
This budget stayed the same for the next five movies and was dropped lower for Godzilla vs Space Godzilla (94).
Godzilla 2000 had a much Higher budget of $12 Million (USD)
Godzilla X MegaGuirus had $13 Million
Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidora: Giant Monsters All Out Attack had $15 Million
Godzilla X Mechagodzilla had $16 Million
And Godzilla X Mechagodzilla X Mothra had $17 Million.
Each of these movies broke the previous movie's record fro "Highest budget ever in a Japanese Movie".
For Comparason, the American Godzilla (Or GINO, as we G-Fans call it) was supposed to have a budget of $100 Million and went $80 million over that.
The Japanese think it's insane to spend that kind of money on a film.

Nothing wrong with anime.
Heyyyyyy..........couldn't they make MM4 as an anime? Mel could still be Max. There are anime that don't depict women as having huge eyes and tiny mouths and noses.
I would think Max in anime form would be better than no Max at all.
larger than life and twice as ugly
Mad Max 4 good and bad news.
Have always been a hard fan of MAD MAX, and wishing for a new one. Around a year ago, I I hear of a possible part 4. Today I found this website by a fluke thought and immediately joined in. After reading everyones posts, I hear many different things about casting Mel in the film. So is he or is he not going to be in it? Can anyone say for sure at this point in time? And what about Lethal? I'd be very interested to know, thanks!

LATEST NEWS! Just found out that MM4 is in production and that Vin Dissel is out and Ice Cube is in. Is Miller for real about this mistake

I think they should drop MM4 not because Mel isnt going to be in it but because thanx to whoever wrote or had the creative idea for MM3 ruined the series (I'm hoping Mr Miller doesnt have sole responsibility for this). I mean MM3 lost the whole gritty feel of the MM world, the whole lost kids thing sucked and having Tina Turner in it was a poor choice and also like someone mentioned earlier the whole cages on wheels thing just dug the series into a hole.
Im not saying that the progression of humanity in the MM world wouldnt lead to something like MM3 but to me it took a jump from a world just after the halocaust to one where petrol is gone and people are tribal, who wants to see MM4 where we're going to see Max the barbarian?
FURY ROAD - what are they going to be driving? camels?
If they do make this film then maybe they could have a young guy (Heath Ledger?) Standing infront of a crudely made grave with Max's name on it and you learn through the film that (Heath is Max's son) But this is obviously atleast a 25yr gap in the series and mankind would have stumbled further down the hill by this stage.
THIS IS PURELY MY OPINION AND I DONT WISH TO FIGHT WITH ANYONE ABOUT IT

btw I do not own a copy of Thunderdome as I refuse to acknowledge it

The way I see the whole T-Dome thing is like this..
Until Miller officially strikes Thunderdome from the series, it's part of the series..
Deal with it.
Maybe it doesn't fit, But you, me and the rest of us aren't the ones who have the Say.
