Best Mad Max Scene
MM1:
The rotating shot of Max's front bumper grinding away at Nightrider's rear bumper as both cars slowly pass the camera..
RW:
This would be a tie. 1st- the view you get just after Max turns the tanker around. Truck, Monaro, dust/dirt, setting sun.....2nd: I know it wasn't meant to be that way, but...the road bastard doing the head over heals somersault after hitting the buggy. Few people can imagine just how dumbfounding that was on a movie screen in '82. 3rd: The fury of the sound and visuals when the screen goes black then pulls back from the scoop at the beginning. (To understand why, I first saw the film on a rather big screen in the summer of 82. I don't quite know what the deal was, but the big Dolby sound system was actually set too loud. There were parts of the movie where it almost hurt. Between being so close to the screen and the volume being too high, my friend and I agreed we felt like it was sensory immersion. It was perfect.)
BTD:
Max challenging Master Blaster. The crowd, the vehicle, the sax.....

I'm with 'drivethiscrate' on this one....just get goosebumps as Max fades out and the falcon fades in, in the underground car park......hence the reason i recreated it...plus I'm a touch on the nuts side....but that's just the wife's opinion.

For roadwarrior I would say the scene where max is getting into his car after filling his tanks. After he says "see ya around, maybe" and cranks it up and takes off. The sound of the car is amazing. The interceptor taking off into the desert is just an awesome scene.

OK Scenes featuring Max seem to be taking priority here and I don't blame you but for me, besides the scenes of Max and his V8, are the ones with Goose in them.
Firstly when he joins in the persuit of Nightrider "and his Floosie" when he fish tails that Z thou on the gravel. You wouldn't believe how hard that is to do and do well as Goose (most likely the stunt double) did without decking it and chewing grit. And yes I've tried it want to see the graze scars??? LOL!
The second scene is soon after Goose did the huge burnout and woke Johhny the Knob up and has got the throttle wide open on the open road and just racing for the sheer thril of it at over 120mph...... (least it looks like that speed from the speedo via pause on the video. Open to correction here from the DVD owners)
.......Of course that's just before his back wheel locks up and he trys flying instead of rolling.
While on the subject of Johnny the boy I still laugh out loud when he touches to lighter to his arm to brand himself for burning a cop.... and flinches! What an A$$hole!
Just some thoughts from one of the rabid 2 wheeled fans here.

I have a few theories of my own regarding what Johnny the Boy could have done to Goose's bike;
1; He loosened the rear spindle bolt enough to make to wheel twist slightly and maybe jam up on the rear brake caliper (unlikly though as Goose would've felt a slight back end wobble long before he got going too fast)
2; Slackening then re-tightening the wheel so that it's out on alignment could cause this same effect but again if Goose was half the biker he seemed to be then he'd soon notice something amiss before "flying" the clue being his tail light being beside him (think about it)
3; Possibly slackened the drive chain thus making it jump the rear sprocket and then fall between the wheel and sprocket. This too would lock up the rear wheel (been there, done that, fell orf at 40mph! I was young and foolish not at all like I am now hehehehhee)
4: Since we're dealing with a film here the scene of Johnny with assorted tools fiddling with Gooses rear end (that doesn't read at all well does it?) It's anybodies guess for what he could have done but suffice to say the director needed to show foul play, and not a simple accident, befell the intrepid Goose.
5: Lastly, and least likely, he could have slipped a tape recorder under the sleeping Goose's pillow while he's recovering from bedding that singer. Which played a post hypnotic command suggesting he stamp on the back brake when he going really really fast. This too would cause the back wheel to lock up.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed, funny or otherwise.

Yes Bubba wiped out this stinking Bronze. This was the best thing he had ever made, but he was too arrogant. This costed him his life ...

I could probably make it on my own, but I like you kids.

Might be a bit weird but best scene for me is when Max starts the Truck in and when he he turn,s the truck at the end of the movie.
