Australia or the USA?
Well I live in the US and from what I understand the US and Australia are very similar and let's start pointing out why.
First of all the US and Australia spawned from England.
Second they both are filled with crazy people. And I do mean psychopaths. I mean look you have the Crocadile Hunter Steve Irwin and you have Geroge W. Bush...what more can I say???
Third you have 2 countries that hare a huge love for cars.
Fourth, I don't know what else to say. LOL
Now as for the bad things in both.
I don't know if their are any similar but that is ok I guess.
As for me I want to go to Australia I always did, the only thing that scares me about being down there is the scorpians and the spiders. The rest I can deal with LOL. The only reason why I wouldn't want to live in Australia is because I love snow a lot.
Now for the US. I've had my home here all my life, and I get snow. The only reason why I would want to leave and move to Australia is that my government officials are scaring me half way out of my mind.
Other than that, that is my piece on it. I don't really think I prefer one to the other, except I'm in the US now and it would be a disaster if I had to leave unless a job takes me away.

mind you in the early 90's down here it used to be that easy too, cept you wern't getting Handguns and sh*t, being pretty much an entire 'farming state' you could get your hands on any kind of Shotty or rifle.

Australia or the USA?
Well I have lived in both places.
Aus - Tasmania, QLD, NSW, Vic and WA - total 30 years.
USA/Canada - Vancouver, Oregon, Washington - total 7 years.
I talk to a lot of people and I think it is a case of the grass being greener on the other side. I hear a lot that people would love to visit Aus and wonder if they ever will.
Personally I prefer the USA although there are lots of things I miss about Aus. In an ideal world 6 months in each place would be nice. Spring/Summer forever!

Id love to visit australia, and will someday but my hearts here in the good ole USA .The home of the FREE and the land of the BRAVE. We have our bad points ,but all countries do in some form or another. Me i feel lucky to be able to do just about anything i want to do and enjoy including eating burgers and im not fat either. There are criminals in every country ,but at least i can protect my family legally here with a handgun.

Give me a lemon.
Hell is America with no exit doors.
Give me Australia all the time, America is a nightmare.
Don't wanna offend anyone, I like the American guys of this board, you're all wonderful people! I don't hate the country in itself, just don't "get" the "generic" people, the medias, their behaviour, their hypocrisies and most of all, their way of life in the name of capitalism.
On the other hand, Italy is getting worse and worse.
