I've seen what it can do on the street...Image My fiancee & I swung through Kingston this past Sunday - thanks again for the ride, Mark. I'll definitely get in some camera practice before coming back to see you. Just find me the road, and I'll be the guy with the camera, laying on the shoulder.Image

Doug,

Maybe next year. I still have to address some issues. Right now, the car just keeps eating U-joints ( rear only ) . After the first two times that the drive shaft "fell" out, I had a custom shaft made with U joints that supposedly handle 600hp. Well, I made it about 250 miles and it ate that shaft for breakfast. We're thinking now that the torque is so extreme that the axle is turning enough to warrant traction bars. Hopefully, that will solve the problem. The drive shaft manufactuer said that the shaft they made for me normally handles 800hp races cars.

Dave,

You're welcome. Man, I was really looking forward to that low angle video!Image

Mark - We'll have another chance very soon, and I promise to get it right. Hell, I may have screwed up on purpose, just to have a good reason to come back down.Image Next time, I'll shoot a low-angle vid that would make an armadillo cringe.

yes, this properly blown interceptor is an absolute sensation. as i'm sure you're all aware, it's the 25th anniversary of mad max next year and i think this car should be a big part of any celebrations. would the owner of this magnificent beast be prepared to put his baby in the hands of, say, phil brock for a good run around eastern creek? you'd make every news bulletin in oz, and maybe even the international networks too!

Well, thanks for the compliments dadark1 but unfortunely once it made the trip on the water , it was here to stay. I don't think that there are any plans for any type of MM anniversary here but ...the next time Mel Gibson is scheduled to appear on the David Letterman Show, I'm driving it down to the City and parking that car right out front of the theater and see what kind of reaction that gets.
