BEARCLAW MOHAWKER , servant?

Post by rockatansky4073 »

Aye, you know when the VERMIN are all lined up outside the compound, waiting for the tanker to come out and let the battle begin? Well anyone notice HUMUNGUS pulls up and he gesture's to BEARCLAW, who climbs off the sidecar and stands there with the HUMUNGUS' MAGNUM case open and ready for him, he stands there a while as we get back and fourths of the compound people and him, then HUMUNGUS loads it up.

Well , how come? why didn't HUMUNGUS already have the gun case on him? I know HUMUNGUS is big on ritual and parading, but i always thought it was a bit much, being presented with his sidearm. It also tells me, he trusted his vermin alot too, we think of them as being mindless berzerkers and sh*t, who'd fire a bolt into your throat the second you'd turn your back, being friend or foe. But i think not. What if BEARCLAW all of a sudden decided to mutiny, he coulda put the lord down , with his own car. Also being a fellow MOHAWKER, and obviously close to WEZ, he obviously didn't disagree much with WEZ being restrained, before the battle, or he woulda acted against it, he obviously trusted the lord. And i'm sure after WEZ he woulda been next in rank.

Very intresting point. L.H. did have his gun case on him when the tanker arrived unexpctedly, and had enough time to revrently load a few shells before the truck was on top of him. Looking at the novelization, L.H. trusted his vermin too much anyway.....

The Bearclaw was a kind of competitor for wez. A wannabee Nr.2 ... and even a menace for Humungus. To hide that mighty weapon was the best thing ... Also, I believe that Bearclaw was the cleverer one, who was waiting for the right opportunity to take Wez's place. Wez was too devoted, and blinded by responsibility ...
I could probably make it on my own, but I like you kids.

I was surprised the Humungus was signalling to the bearclaw biker. I thought he was telling the vermin to start up their engines...

Trust me Chrisb, i thought the same thing, cept their engines were already going, no it wasn't till i got the damn WIDESCREEN version, that i saw BEARCLAW in the background climb off his bike, though, i always saw his claw off to the side in the shot of HUMUNGUS' guncase.

I think the BEARCLAW MOHAWKER, had a way bigger role, in the film, than we saw, for starters, he's the one, who yet again was gestured to to come carry WEZ off, so he was already probably physically stronger than WEZ, but i don't think quicker.

He was the first one to react when MAX slid down the ditch, in the dark, he was also the only one to go see what was up. ( was the HUMUNGUS, just off to the side? i think his camp was the one closest to the compound, he woulda wanted it that way. WEZ's was over the hill. Was BEARCLAW specifically assigned to keep an eye on the lord, while he slept?)

Also he's the one, who shot the mechanic in the arm, throwing fire all over him, seconds later he's climbing the tanker, getting shot himself , it barely disabling him, this put off WARRIOR WOMAN, getting her four arrows in the chest.

He's also the first to physically disable MAX in the truck, with his claw, seriously ruining the road warrior's reflexes and concentration, aside from BUBBA's bullet in the knee, probably the worst wound MAX has ever had.

Puttting all this together the mighty BEARCLAW is one hell of an efficient warrior, and would probably kick both WEZ and FLOPPYBAR's arses together...

All good points,Rock. Though, I've got to argue that Max was much worse for wear after rolling the Interceptor. He was half jumped by Mr. Dead.

I thought of that , when i made my comment, but i pretty much meant as a surface wound you know, he was real f**ked up internally after the crash, but as for 'band aid' sh*t...

What happened to the Bearclaw during and after the tanker crash? One minute he's there with his claws in Max's shoulder, the next he's nowhere to be seen.

He was either thrown/ jumped clear or got mashed up in the collision. Either way, if I was him I would have found another way to disable the driver that didn't include being bitten by the ferel brat.

Hadn't The Bearclaw Mohawker already been shot in the chest with an arrow?

I think maybe after he sunk his claws into max, all he could do was hold on for dear life. Who knows, maybe he was dead soon after attacking max and was only kept hanging there by the claws anchored into the road warrior's shoulder.

Mmmmmmm...

In the novelization (presumibly inspired to one of the early drafts), The Humungus went killed by Wez and his fellow Mohawkers !!! An effective and realistic betrayment --- I think this would have been a more suitable issue, showing how much they were horrid personas who dind't trust each other even.

And Max driving the LONE WOLF (wow!) to rescue the Feral Kid... that's a real redemption act!

Maybe the early drafts were the BETTER!
