The character deserved a cool or flashy name.
"Pappagallo" is Italian. It means "parrot". It sounds funny and comical. I don't know. Why?

It's because he talks a lot.
"Words, just words, you'd die for a pipe dream"
And then he puts his words in his mouth, joins the chase and gets killed

He served the good cause. Max liked him a lot.

In the screenplay, he was much more ambiguous and less sympathetic... And at the end Max punchs him in the face because he want to leave the kid behind.

Was the name pronounced on-screen? In the Italian dubbing, it wasn't.

After Humongous has warned the compounders to walk away, Arkie Whiteley (Gyro Captains Girl) mentions Pappagallo’s name.
She says “I wish it could have worked Pappagallo, you cant expect to compete with that. Every day we get weaker while they get stronger, its finished”
