Max's reflexes in 1979's "Mad Max"

Post by Uncle Entity »

I think:

1- The chase scene with the Nightrider. Max showed his reflexes in the "Chicken" confrontation.

2- Before being hit to the knee, he turned his head towards the direction of Bubba shooting him? That's quite an impressive reflex.

3- He shot Zanetti when he (Max) managed to grab and use the shotgun at the very right moment, showing a flashy reflex again. Right?

Any feedback on this?

Even The Collector said Max was quick when Aunty said Max was just a 'raggedy man'

Don't forget when he avoided the head-on collision with the truck at the end which kills the Toe Cutter. You can only see it in one frame of film, but he swerves off the road onto the dirt and misses the truck. That was perhaps one of the best examples of his reflexes. Even with a shot knee and broken arm.

God, I forgot this!

You nailed it. Maybe it's the best example in MM1.

Bubba managed to crush his arm just because he (Max) was trying to reach the shotgun so badly... he didn't care to avoid the wheel at that point.
