Gyrocopter

Post by Phil1 »

Just wondering....

Would anyone have a decent Line Drawing for the Gyrocopter from The Road Warrior?

I've found a Site that has some decent pictures for the Plane - the Air Truck - from Beyond Thunderdome, so I have that one more-or-less covered for now :-)

http://www.hdmodels.it/shop/en/75mm/19-gyrocopter.html this is an actual model but you can download the instructions and use it for reference. seems to be pretty accurate given the original is on display on the facebook page for the silverton mad max museum.

I'll be looking at starting my Model of this in the next month or so, but I'm thinking that it would go better with a Pilot....

Alas, the cheapest I can find one in E-Bay is along the lines of $45, including Postage :-/

Would anyone have one of the N2 Gyro Captain Action Figures for sale for a reasonable price?

I made a 3d cgi model of the gyrocopter. what do you need views of I can probably fire of renders of my model. You also have to keep in mind that there are 2 gyrocopters. One for stunts and one that could actually fly. The stunt one had an electric vw motor to spin the back blades and was mostly for times with bruce spence while the flying one could actually fly and was flown by a stuntman trained in gyrocopters. I say this cause the one at the mad max musuem now is the surviving stunt model it's seat and back engine are very different to the one we first see in the movie which is the stunt one. So you have to decided which one you want to make most and that's the one I'll so some shots of.

This is also an HD physical model site that has a pdf instructions that will show you how to build the stunt gyrocopter with 3d views of the parts. I can send you that link is you wish.
