The boot problem.

I'm sure we brought this up before, but it never was really solved.

Why in hell would Nux swap right boots with Max?

The boot he gives Max seems fine, it's not without tread or worn down in any way, yet he wants Max's.

Then Slit pulls off the Nux boot from Max's foot and Max pulls his original back off Nux and Nux is left with only one boot on.

Now if Nux was without a right boot or his right boot was in worse shape than Max's i'd understand the trade, but it's not, it's fine.
And also if Max was just a bloodbag, why would he even be concerned about his footwear at all? Why bother giving him his own before strapping him to the Lancer's perch?

Any theories???

I didn't think that Nux took one of Max's boots, just that after Slit pulled off his boot Max needed *a* boot.

Yeah dude, look close that's Max's boot, from the beginning of the movie that he pulls off Nux.
Take a look at when Nux's foot is on the peddle too - he has one lace up boot and Max's slip on leather boot, similar to the first movies.
And check out Max on the front of the Chevy - he has two different boots on - Slit takes the lace up boot off when he falls.

I'm now just picturing Max coming back with a bag full of boots, with Toast saying "why didn't you get some fucking bullets?!"

Max's madness turns out to be a footwear obsession after all

I think Nux traded one boot and took his blood bags jacket in kind of a ritual way to become one with his blood bag in battle.

Also in some scenes Maxs replica rossiter mfp boots are a zip up rubber sole stunt version that can be easily seen.

Finally he takes a bullet farm imperators under armor boots that although comfy would not last nearly as long or be resoleable like the Rossi's

with respect I've seen the movie more then 5 times now. even if I recalled the scenes in which you said I don't see this as a problem. Miller isn't one to skimp on details (just ask her car designer/fabricators) if it's in the movie I assume it has a purpose to it so I just don't see the problem.

Batman has a cowl, Superman a cape and Max Rockatansky has a pair of Rossiter boots, just how it is.

Someone mentioned replica Rossi`s used in the movie, I doubt it they did but George, if you need to use a real pair for the next one, look me up, shiney and chrome.
