I've also got a few theories regarding people who misspell generalization.

It depends on where in the world you are as to how you spell that. I'd have got my knuckles wrapped for putting a z into words like Americans do. The Queen's English is "generalisation".

Sounds like he's singing an old folk song to himself, perhaps one that's military or war themed. It sounds like those frat songs sung at military colleges.

I feel what the scene is doing here is trying to show that while his army may stop to rest, and even the head of his war band (coma) is exhausted, Joe keeps the music of war playing in his head, he doesn't give up. This is a good way of raising the stakes going into the finale and identifying Joe as the root of the antagonism - a parallel shown from the opposite side in Road Warrior where taking out Humungous effectively cripples the spirit of his marauders.

I've never been in the military, they wouldn't take me.
But I might assume that going to war and the kill or be killed instinct might require a certain amount of self hypnosis.
