"Mad Max Myths & Facts Documentary", due out for Xmas this year. Is it perhaps the same documentary you mentioned PhilC?
"The Madness of Max" doc has been on the backburner for many years now, lord knows what happened to that one.
So we may be getting two new doco's this year? You bloody ripper if that is the case.
I don't know which of them two doco's that fella Tim may have been referring to but i'd guess it is one of them. The only downer is it seems "The Madness of Max" will require buying that four movie set which i'd dare say most of us already have three of already. As for the other doco, well i know now what i'm getting for Chrissy if it is out by then. 2015 really is turning out to be a great year for us Max fans.
Not sure if early digital release has something to do with the leaked HD copy because normally you'd think they'd release Digital and Blu-ray at the same time. Either way, the quicker the better.

I read somewhere that George Miller insisted that the film also be released in black and white, which is his preferred format. Anybody read that also? If so, are you planning to pick it up? I so love this film - I would probably buy both.
Getting the B&W silent movie version is a big motivator on how I spend my money, to be honest. All the steel-book, model, game-with-license-plate versions just look like marketing tat to me, but a proper old-timey version would be well worth shelling out a lot extra for me.
"The anthology also includes the documentary Madness of Max on DVD along with “Mad Max Anthology” trading cards". Wonder if they mean the usual crap postcards you sometimes get, or do they mean trading cards. Are we going to see actual packets of old skool style Star Wars cards on the shelves? Hard to believe but would be quite funny to see these boards light up when someone gets an ultra rare behind-the-scenes Roadwarrior "shiny"! I presume that will be an "all shiny and chrome" topic.
So far nothing seems to mention that b&w version being released with these first editions of FR that are coming to home media. You'd think something would have been mentioned by now if it was the case?
I'm sure we'll get it at some point on one of the re released versions down the track though. That'll be the candy to get us to double dip..
I personally can't see this black and white version happening to be honest. It would be cool for the novelty happening but it could be just Miller's pipe dream and something that the studio is not willing to go into.
I'm annoyed we don't seem to be getting a commentary though, that's the one extra i would really love.
