Nice one, Artemis!
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

after further reflection, because i knew there was something wrong about what some random dipshit on the internet says about my status as a liberal:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_Scotsman

this is something tumblr feminists like turbofall forget. since they like pulling in the term "hyperbole" like they know what it means.

so having realized in so few words said that tumblr feminists arent "true liberals" i notice the flaw in what i said. but you know what? still doesnt excuse the fact that they're shitheads and they are ruining a larger more serious movement by their maladjusted ideas.

now i'm done.

"Tumblr feminist" is a funny notion. I hardly ever use Tumblr for anything.

Part of the point I was trying to make was that you were disregarding the "tumblr feminists" using a No True Scotsman take on them, I guess that just kinda flew over your head, eh?

For reference, I'm just a feminist since I don't use Tumblr ;)

(oh, and BTW the rape inference in MM1, and scene in MM2, were treated well ... it's not a case of never wanting rape to appear in anything, but more that when it's used it makes sense and contributes to the story - in the Furiosa comic it's gratuitous, and the way it's handled doesn't help the story).

I don't even understand implying that Turbofurball is a Tumblr feminist. He or she seems to be pretty thoughtful, reasonable, and moderate in his/her critiques of the items in question.

Is it that we're just hostile toward any criticism that's coming from a feminist perspective?

Personally, I think the MM fandom tent is big enough for everybody. If somebody with a socially conservative critique or endorsement of Mad Max wants to offer their opinion, I'll be happy to weigh their argument on its own merits.

Thanks and likewise (I might not agree with every single thing you say, but you're contributing to discussion in a thoughtful way) - also, I'm a woman for what it's worth.

How could somebody disagree with me?

:D

Say, what is the source of your profile pic? Is that you or did you find it somewhere? Looks like some kinda badass alternative subculture type of thing. I'm guessing body mod/tattoo community, Burning Man, or some other thing?

It's from the movie Doomsday - a British film thats a mashup of 28 Days Later, Aliens, and Mad Max 2 ... absolutely a must-watch for any Mad Max fan! (and after that, the making of vehicles and props documentaries are interesting)

Where is the Aliens element in Doomsday?

The idea of the film is great but I thought the costumes of the people who live in the castle was too far.

Although it did remind me of the brilliant Eagle comic story 'The Tower King' from the early 80s which would make an excellent film.
