Re: Furiosa comic falls flat
I just got the Furiosa comic today. Must say this story was much easier to read than Immortan. With Immortan several things weren't explained to well. This one has a plain chronological storyline that is easy to follow. It is just about how Immortan treats his breeders and how Furiosa got involved. The graphic violence was kept to a minimum with mostly only off screen and verbal hints about what was going on or what had happened.
It is a good explanation of the time of the 5 wives until they escaped.

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Uh, because that's the subject of the thread?Turbofurball wrote:It's a comic book thats linked to a movie that's important in the eyes of a social movement. If it's that unimportant why are you commenting here about it?
If you have a problem with rebuttals why start an open thread on the topic, kicking it off with a link to an extreme left feminist blog?

You said you were as liberal as anyone could get - surely the tumblr feminist extremist types of people are more liberal?themanw/oaname wrote:by all means, explain how i'm not a liberal.

Little unsettled with how mean-spirited this little "discussion" is getting. Even the OP says they don't agree with the tone of the original article. It's just a movie and it's just a comic that everyone here obviously really, really likes. No need for it all to get so fired-up.

I enjoyed it as well , I mean how much back story do you want in such a thin booklet , but I'm seriously over all this feminist debate BULLSHIT , its a fucken fantasy / action movie and a comic book , not a documentary , I agree there was some hard to swallow bits in the first comic , but not going to lose any sleep over it or type pages of crapola about it on the internetNightwalker wrote:I just got the Furiosa comic today. well, a core belief of Socialism us that everyone has use, and people should be treated equally ... and if Socialism is the ideal of liberal thinkers then describing any group as "shit for brains" is not a liberal assertion.themanw/oaname wrote:sorry, i'm just tired of people misusing the word "liberal" based on a movement filled with maladjusted morons.
yes, extremists of any persuasion are not helpful to the goals of their group, but that doesn't mean their opinions have no value at all.

Re: Furiosa comic falls flat
welp. based on that logic, of calling a shit for brains what they are not making me a liberal though i know the contrary:
you're totally wrong. i cant help having common sense, logic, and critical thinking skills.
shit for brains.
