Hi all.
New to the forum, thanks for the all the info. Great stuff!
I'm been around the site but can't seem to find the answer to a couple of queries. Can anyone help me with the locations of these two biker gang pix from the original movie?

The Chevy crash i believe is Kirks bridge road. (or very close to it, it was shown to me in 2008!)

Movie wise, when Max exits Turner Rd (and turns right).... it should be on the left about 2km up that road.

almost right, from memory wher emax turns right off the dirt then heads over kirks bridge you keep going up to the T intersection then turn left, down there a klm or so you will find the stone fence/gateway where the chev was flicked into with the help of the handbrake and huge bodyroll. Took them a few goes to get it and then during filming the landowner came and told the crew to f*ck off from his property...

Was the Chevy crash not Little River- Ripley Rd? Slightly North or South (my memory lacks) of Kirks Bridge Rd. The gate/stone wall is still there I believe or was as of around 2 years ago?

I think you will find matt and myself are correct, it was filmed on ripleys rd and yes it is still visible where it was, I was shown this location by cast and crew many years ago. pretty sure it is also along the same spot they filmed where max shot bubba from his bike (murray smith was the one dressed as bubba and pulled from bike by a cable ) there used to be a visible repair on the road where they dug a hole in the surface for maxs arm to lay in as bubba ran over it... this disappeared when resurfaced some 15 years later. anyone else here to help confirm or dismiss this ?

As others have said, it's the Little River-Ripley road, about half way down from the Kirk's Bridge Road turn off. It's in the location listing, although I see I don't have any reference photos up, sorry about that.

Be careful with the movie stills you have posted - the second one is actually flipped left to right, look at the license plates on the bikes. You'll need to flip the image back to be correct, if you want to match the actual location in person.

Google Street View has images for that area, anyone think they can pinpoint the spot?

Pretty much every road in that area has dry stone walls. Many, but not all are covered by a heritage overlay, but much is slowly being destroyed for development.

I don't really have time to have a proper look right now, but using the memory of my visit to the location, as well as trying to match up the similarities between
the backdrop mountain range seen in the original footage and what is today's landscape. I believe it's somewhere within the stretch of what Google Maps lists as 550 to 566 Ripley Road.

I'll try and have a proper look later on.
