It's depressing to know people can be so utterly, pathetically backwards in this day and age.
That Goose is on fire........

OK, after finally seeing the movie, not only I''m 100% certain that male-saviors haven't seen it, but probably pro-feminist supporters misunderstood it as well.
Not only it's not feminist (or macho for that matter), but the actual male-female conflict is huge element of the story. Actually, IT IS the story!
We got crazy old male tyrant who has functional world up and running, we got one female warrior with good intentions but flawed logic(we know what gets paved with good intentions), we got old mothers who just weren't resourceful enough to keep their society alive.
Get it? Male = functional but ruthless, female = compassionate but not functional.
And then there's this one tiny balancing factor (the hero) who sets things straight and links the two opposites into one functional whole. FFS, that's the PLOT of the movie! Max is sort of marriage counselor here!
If Furiosa had no help from Max, she would lost all the wives and her own life. If Max hadn't turned them around towards the citadel, they would all die in the salt wasteland and the citadel would probably eventualy die after Joe failed to produce a healthy baby. The solution wasn't to flee from the tyrant. It was to overthrow him and claim his place, for good or worse.
BTW, haven't you noticed how in the heat of the battle, women always failed at functional tasks (reloading guns, repairing) while men failed at emotional level (Nux taking ages to comprehend why are they fleeing from Joe, Max taking time to open up).

Not entirely so when the Bullet Farmer is approaching Max tries twice to shoot him and then hands the gun to Furiousa who rests the gun on his shoulder and takes out the spotlight in one shot like a pro , thats how I was taught to shoot targets as well :mrgreen

Yeah, it's painfully obvious Max had to swallow his pride and let her do it. But only after wasting 2/3 of ammo.
