There you are, beauty of the internet; don't even have to wait!! :D

For me, the film flew by, I could easily handle a three hour cut. Then again it's very different at home when you can press pause, put the kettle on, answer natures call.

Unless it's set in Middle Earth, I think anything over 2 hours is likely to turn viewers off.

Furious 7 and The Avengers 2 were like 2 hours and 30 minutes and have grossed over $1 billion! Though that said those films needed a lot of fat trimmed honestly.

The guy's a shill for The Mirror purposefully writing stuff like this as clickbait IMO. The points he made about the plot - it's an action movie, not a historical period drama. Then he dared to compare it to Waterworld, Doomsday and The Postman? Fuck him.

At least his "Second review" actually had content compared to his first one.

Anyways. Again. I'm floored by the critical response. Absolutely amazing and well deserved! I guess this is doing great internationally already too.

Waterworld, Doomsday, Postman; flawed movies but if Im honest, I found all of them enjoyable in their own ways.

I can honestly say I enjoyed Doomsday far more than Thunderdome.
I think Waterworld gets a bit of an unfair bashing at times, it's got some really good setpieces in it.
The Postman is very slow but I kind of liked the way they depicted the world in it, sort of like American civil war times.

I don't think any of these three movies are worse than Thunderdome, although certainly not as good as Fury Road.

I'm actually hoping that Fury Road kickstarts a resurgence of these type of movies, I think it may well fire up the reboot of Escape From New York which I for one am very eager to see

I finally saw it last night and I absolutely LOVED it! It is honestly my all time favorite film. It deserves all its accolades!
