Music Score
Re: Music Score
Excellent, after I posted my comment I went and looked him up, he has done some great work. I really liked the Man of Steel sound track.
Re: Music Score
I would always prefer a good old fashioned orchestral score

Coolness. Now if we can find the beginning track to the trailer...BRC1974 wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjCebRogySM

The music in the first half of the trailer is excellent. A perfect match.

Re: Music Score
Classical score like in MM2.
The techno heavy industrial stuff will pass and is dated. Conversely the most powerful and immortal musical scores are classical style with some awesome scores, drums, and chorus.
Think Star Wars, Terminator, Raiders of the Lost Ark, MM2... these stand the test of time.

Re: Music Score
Once again you demonstrate your inability to read. The trailer music was done by WB. The actual movie soundtrack is being done by Junkie XL. Check his instagram for several teasers http://instagram.com/p/pojxt6gBiK . Classical style reminiscent of Brian May's Road Warrior score. If you weren't totally new to these forums and actually followed development instead of ranting like a clueless child most of your petty tantrums wouldn't have been necessary.leadcounsel wrote:Classical score like in MM2.

Re: Music Score
I agree with the idea that classical orchestral scores hold up the best over time, I do like techno/industrial sound tracks as well. The failure in those types of tracks is not the style, but the execution. Terminator (techno with tinges of industrial) and Bladerunner are both almost timeless. Techno composers try to be very current or up to date in their work to the point of even including actual songs (by the direction of the producers, no doubt, but to the detriment of the movie), which almost always means you can tell when they wrote it, sometimes you feel like you can pinpoint the month they did it.leadcounsel wrote:Classical score like in MM2.

Re: Music Score
Well, have to confess I don't remember hearing music like this in the test screening which leads me to believe it was all temp track. Exciting.
Always worth keeping in mind that there are plenty of artists known for a certain style that take on a movie score to try something different and experimental.
