I guess this is the kind of stuff that happens in an information vacuum.
Oh geez. I'm the one who edited the Wiki page too. lol
Heck, over on the SHH boards they're trying to tell me Miller distinctly said Fury Road takes place between Mad Max 2 and BTD and that's the reason they went with Hardy because of his age....
EDIT: Holy hell more news outlets are reporting the "new" photo and Wiki thing.
Citing Reddit as a legitimate news source. LOL. Don't even get me started on Reddit. Those 'redditors' will regurgitate and sensantionalise any piece of old and otherwise well known info for imaginary Internet points aka. 'karma'.
Hell I'm surprised they didn't straight up make some stuff up to get that stuff to get to the front page. Shame on other news outlets for picking this up as 'news'.
Yeah, I saw that "new" picture of Tom Hardy on AICN the other day and laughed. The site has a long history of being way behind news, as well as reviewing bootleg movies and fake scripts. Reddit has a whole other problem of idiots living in an echo chamber. It's best to write them both off as shitty but amusing.

Yeah, although on one hand reddit did provide some original stuff like the leaked photo sheets of some of the characters including the messed up look of Immortan Joe.
Not to get anyones hopes up but CinemaCon is going on right now in Las Vegas which is essentially a convention for US theater owners to converge on to get new info on new cinema tech and where also the major studios attend with directors and actors to present presentations of their upcoming slate and beyond.
For example, Universal had theirs today showing off footage and trailers for their 2014 releases and then went and showed footage for a handful of their 2015 movies. Warner Bros. will have their presentation on Thursday so who knows...maybe they might show something..We'll hear about it along with detailed descriptions if they do since various movie bloggers are at the event.
From articles found on Borssum's facebook, I found these quotes notable.
"This story is a massive leap forward in the Mad Max story in regards to how the journey plays out and the intensity of the action," Greg said. "It was something we were always thinking about when it was time to make this film.
"You have to try and see where the industry is heading, so you can meet it there in a few years' time.
"For example, the parkour world has been a massive part of action films for the past few years, but even now, it is becoming dated, as did the Hong Kong-style wire action seen in The Matrix years before and even the Bourne-style fighting is becoming a regular thing.
"I wanted to make the action less flashy and more realistic of a world that has been built on the remnants of warfare survivors and scavengers. I designed a number of gun fighting sequences for the film, but there was one in particular, that, if cut correctly, should be enjoyable to watch."
"I had to work intensively with Charlize, as she had to look as if she had been around weapons and warfare for her entire life."
