Sorry if this has been mentioned, but when Max goes and blows up the Bullet Farmer and it is left ambiguous how he did it, that reminded me of Johnny The Boy's ambiguous fate.

Who else saw the footage (perhaps even 1 or 2 frames) as Max has his sleep in the war rig and remembers the past, you see the bulging eyes footage of The Nightrider and The Toecutter from the fist Mad Max? It's depressing to know people can be so utterly, pathetically backwards in this day and age.

I haven't seen FR yet (going tonight, after original trilogy rewatch marathon), but when I heard that The People Eater was played by a "John Howard", I immediately thought of:

I'm planning to see it this weekend, with a bunch of friends who have also seen the original trilogy (of which I actually have quite a few, most of them at my insistence). I've watched a couple, looks really damn good. It doesn't seem like it will be 100% serious either, which is a good thing in my book.
