Re: Great article on villains!
I actually like the art a lot. They've got a real sense of drawing in them. But that's just me. Is Auntie the villain in Thunderdome? To me, that's the biggest problem in that movie. There's no good, deadly, threatening villain. Max beats Ironbar easily in Auntie's Apartment...so there's no threat a...

Nah. Then we'd have to listen to all sorts of theories about how the Gyro Captain turned into the Bullet Farmer.danielreal2k wrote:Oh and they missed a trick Bruce Spence could have been the bullet farmer.

Re: Weird story, but good action move
It was weird. That was the whole point. The wives were too young for Joe because they were sex slaves. They didn't chose to marry him.

Re: Spoiler (The Interceptor)
Max is nearly dead in RW when the BoB gets blown up. I think he was a bit more concerned about himself.

Re: Big Question!!!! Spoiler!
Here's the thing. Miller is his own man. He's not going to change a story so that one very tiny bit of the movie going public can get their rocks off on a cool car. Lots of fans think they know what they want. But that's usually more of the same. Miller wants to try new things and tell new stories. ...

Re: Fury Road Screening Discussion (WARNING! HEAVY SPOILERS!
Totally agree about the Sandpeople. The shots were almost composed the same, and the fact that the bandage covered guys just grunted at each other really made it clear to me. You know, I found Max's narration a bit rough as well. But later on I realized that much of the movie is written in big, dram...

What were they doing with the gas? (Spoilers)
I'm not a car guy at all. When they were spitting the gas into the blowers, what was that all about? How does that help them go faster? I actually thought that was the most bat-shit crazy scene in the film. It was one of those wild moments where I just felt, I really don't know what's happening here...

Re: Why is there no Fury Road novelization?
Outside of Star Wars, or maybe even Star Trek, I don't think movie novelizations are a big thing anymore. They might do books for Avengers type things, but those are aimed at young readers.

Re: Your thoughts on Mad Max 5 (SPOILERS!)
Well, logic would say that the next film would be totally different altogether, and with Miller's awesomely playful use of continuity, we could even have the BoB again. But in truth, how do you "top" Fury Road? What I suspect, is that we'll get a Thunderdome type movie that has only one ch...
